I really wish Don Davis was staying on as the leader of the NDP. He has done such a good job and is such a good speaker.

I feel like I could watch it again already as it was just so amazing.
I loved the West Wing and have watched it through a couple times which makes me wonder why I waited so long on this show.
I just finished watching The Newsroom for the first time, and I truly cannot believe I have never seen this series until now. It was absolutely amazing.
I do not understand how it is allowed that printer companies can make it so knock off ink won’t work. It feels very corrupt.
It is the worst! I’m sure it was extra painful when your alarm went off. It would be cool if the universe could let us have some good sleep to try and be ready for the dumpster fire the world is most days lately.
I would really love to know why my brain doesn’t feel the need to sleep past 5:30 on a weekday anymore no matter how late I fall asleep.
I drove around for hours,
I drove around for days,
I drove around for months and years
and never went no place

Well I am almost 42 and had to google what a photon was when I saw this.
Omg. That is actually mind blowing. I figured maybe $30000. Just wow.
I’m sorry the symptoms came back and did so quickly! That is awful. When I saw someone about options they were very hesitant about surgery because the symptoms can come back. It’s truly unreal that nothing better has been figured out for treatment.
Thank you ❤️
I can’t even imagine how much that would have cost! It’s so messed up that she had to make that choice, but also I get it! Im glad it made a difference for her! It is just so shameful she had to do that.
And considered it for a hot second a few years ago. It’s so sad that this is what people have to resort to when it’s so prevalent.
As bad as healthcare is in Ontario, it does seem like it is a place that is much quicker and easier to get surgical solutions. I had a new iud (the only real treatment I get) put in a few months ago and I’m hoping it might make things calm down soon. I’ve also heard about the surgeries in Europe
Today I went to work with pain that truly would take so many people down and out. But after more than 25 years of it, it is all too normal to me. Like anyone with endometriosis, getting treatment has been almost impossible. Thankful for @claudiachenderns.bsky.social speaking on this.
Why do we taxpayers spend roughly $1M per year so 32 MLAs can keep apartments in Halifax? The house only sits an average of 30 days/year (8-10 in fall, 20ish in spring). 32 apartments, plus tenant insurance, plus phone/internet for said apartment seems like a lot.
He’s also not sorry.
I have posted more on Facebook since this budget than I have in many years combined. It is honestly so hard to share information now and that seems to be the only platform people I know consistently use. I wish there was a better way but I feel like we are becoming more fragmented.
Absolutely. It’s despicable.
NOTICE TO OUR COMMUNITY Update on Provincial Program Funding Kwe' to our community in Kjipuktuk and across Mi'kma'ki. Over the past day there have been announcements that the Province of Nova Scotia has restored funding to a number of community programs. We want to clarify that the Mikmaw Native Friendship Centre programs previously identified as facing reductions remain affected at this time. The following programs have not had their funding restored: • Family Resource Program • Youth Outreach Program • A Place to Belong Program • Funding previously received through L'nu Affairs We are grateful to see support reinstated for organizations and services that are important to many L'nu & Nova Scotians generally. However, our program funding has not been reinstated. Critical preventative supports for Indigenous youth and families - including justice system navigation, family support services, and work that helps address and prevent domestic violence - still remain in question and at risk. As previously shared, the loss of this funding means we continue to face staff layoffs and reduced service capacity, which places additional strain on the remaining programs and services delivered by the Centre. We remain committed to advocating for the restoration of these critical supports and will continue to keep our community informed. Wela'lioq for your continued trust. In Peace and Friendship Mikmaw Native Friendship Centre
The Mi’kmaw Native Friendship Centre posted that despite the backtracking by Houston yesterday, some of their programs have still had their funding cut. I’d love to see a list of what is not getting funding to help people stop giving Tim credit for this reversal.
MOBILE FOOD MARKET The Mobile Food Market is facing a 20% reduction in provincial funding for food security programs. These cuts will require us to make adjustments to staffing and will impact our capacity to provide dignified and affordable food access to communities that already experience higher rates of food insecurity. Each week, the Mobile Food Market supports thousands of individuals and families by working alongside 35 community organizations, 11 schools, and 3 seniors' buildings, while operating 5 weekly markets across our communities. At a time when affordability is becoming increasingly out of reach for many households, and when food programs across the province are seeing reductions, the need for accessible food supports has never been greater. Our work focuses on bringing dignified and affordable access to healthy food directly into neighbourhoods where transportation, cost, and other barriers make it difficult for people to access fresh food. Now is not the time to reduce investments in food security. We need your help. • Share this post to raise awareness • Reach out to your MLA and let them know food security funding matters • If you or your organization rely on the Mobile Food Market, please comment below and share how these programs impact your community Your voices help show why community food programs matter. - Mandy Chapman Executive Director Mobile Food Market
Mobile Food Market update;
While 20% may not seem like a lot - it has a huge impact on this incredibly essential service.
Tim Houston saying that it's like COVID times is just...ugh. Buddy, you dug this hole. One shovel load at a time. This didn't sneak up on you. There's no dire timeline where you have to make panicked cuts to programs. Frig off ya dolt.
Knowing how hard our MLAs are working right now, it actually was really special to see five @novascotiandp.bsky.social MLAs at the rally today, coming out to watch and even being in the crowd. I am truly thankful for all their work right now and always.
Did you just hear Tim Houston's comments?
Remember folks, if you oppose the arts cuts, you don't care about young couples who just bought a house.
Man, I thought politicians were supposed to be good at lying.
I understand the healing part. I literally feel like a whole new person after being outside today. It’s incredible what a tiny bit of sun can do!

The people showed up.
I would love to know how many CCAs are going to have to find jobs in long term care while Houston forces job cuts. CCA is offered at NSCC, Saint Anne and five private colleges for free in exchange for two years service specifically in long term care.
They also funded a PN offering that cost $1.2 million to train 25 students to become LPNs due to staffing shortages, who also have to work in LTC for two years after graduating. In 2024 they said they were short 200 LPNs in the province www.halifaxexaminer.ca/health/new-p...
Since the government announced free CCA tuition in 2023, anyone who accepts that offer in Nova Scotia in public or private colleges signs an agreement to work in long term care in the province for two years after they graduate. How will that work with cutting nursing home staff by 3% yearly?
