I'm sure it's in my feed somewhere but Kevin Stoney's background acting is off the charts! The facial expressions and gestures as he smirks at what's going on around him. What a performance. #Daleks #FilmIsFabulous #DoctorWho

I am not. Knowingly. There were a good few similar ventures performing Doctor Who incidental music that popped up during Lockdown.

A month (ish) into my new role and I am exhausted. It's a "good exhaustion" mostly, if there is such a thing, as frankly I'm having a ball at my job. Just the right balance of being left alone and social camaraderie too. Just need to resolve how isolated it's left my wife with me not home very much.

This is precisely where I was. Brave heart. Sometimes the universe has a strange way of showing you the way.

It's possibly this one, but I recall one review of a Beck album that stated it was "the best Prince album in years" - or words to that effect.

This is quite an interesting thought. I'd be tempted to say it's true for me but I think Pirate Planet made me a fan, rather than a viewer. Still, all Douglas Adams' fault.

My biggest hurdle is having been a Carer for 15 years, while running a tinpot web design business with a very small client base. Their needs are relatively simple and I'm self taught. Can't compete in the real world. Don't need a career though, just a job. 🤷

Amen to this. I've been applying to jobs for months without even a sniff of interest in response. I must have some worth to someone somewhere, it's just finding them and connecting the dots. The quest is the quest. Good luck!

It’s Gauda Prime Day, the anniversary of the finale of #Blakes7 44 years ago.

Here is the report I wrote about visiting BBC Television Centre in 1981 to watch that episode, “Blake”, being recorded in studio.

It’s in three blog entries:

I remain really hopeless at remembering I have bluesky and that other people I know use it frequently. I shall endeavour to do better going forward. No promises though, obvs.

I guess today is the day I mention that at my last encounter with Mr Baker, he made a point of introducing me to Kenneth Cope. Imagine that. Days don't get much better. I have a photo but as it looks like I'm about to hit TB with a length of 2x4 I won't be sharing it. Anyway Happy 90th Birthday.

4 is still quite a lot though. More than I've ever met in a day that have subsequently died in the same 24 hour period anyway. I think.

I like that idea. Yes, okay, let's go with that! Excellent.

But is he though? I've yet to see concrete evidence. I mean it SOUNDS like he's on the record but JM has been very vague and non-committal about any direct contribution.

Hoping but not hopeful that I might have a copy in about a week or so's time. I've left enough hints but experience tells me not to assume anything.

Hmmm. Maybe it will grow on me but frankly it's no Free as a Bird. And I confess it feels weird listening to The Beatles through my headphones without all the vocals in one ear and the music in the other - but perhaps I'm showing my age...

It's all rather exciting in my opinion.

Update. Despite having had the invoice for the past month, and having apologised "for the delay" the client has now decided, on the last day of their current contract, not to renew. I mean, it's not like I have paid out any expenses on their behalf or anything...

Being messed about by a client over paying their fees. Not a huge amount but a huge amount to me. Already ruined plans for my birthday, now about to mess up things further. I expect this kind of thing at Christmas but it's still October.

Sorry, know many of us in the same boat. I'm not unique.

Well, they ARE so similar. No, I was simply offering comfort to Editors and Proof Readers by demonstrating how they will NEVER be short of work.
