Does the additional paid work provide inspiration for writing?

I think that's the case for a lot of writers. Short stories build foundations but you need stamina to complete the task of writing a novel.

Wow! I love to hear these success stories. You are writing at some pace.

Happy to be here but can only stay for 10 minutes as I've unexpectedly got dinner guests this evening. Will follow the thread tomorrow. Looking forward to the questions and answers!

I started writing when I worked full time and used to get up at 5am with a clear head to begin work on my project. @lizchampion.bsky.social does this currently, I think. I can't suggest anything in terms of writing for others but believe an early focus might help.

A5 #womenwritersnet yes, there’s a lot of support on social media for writers.

A5 #womenwritersnet I’ve definitely experienced an increase in offers of help and since AI many sound like they’ve actually read my book. It pays to be cautious.

Sounds like the crucifix acts like a magnifying glass.

Oh wow! That sounds like a brave thing to do…but worthwhile given the creative outcome.

A2 #womenwritersnet keeping the two aspects of the novel (horror/history) distinct so interesting. I guess the dovetailing of the two elements is key to creating a successful narrative.

#womenwritersnet I love it that you’re able to incorporate aspects of travel in your stories. It’s great being able to travel the world through fiction.

My grandson of 21 months reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Well, he shouts out apple, pear and orange when the pictures appear on the page. The dog isn’t very impressed.

Hello @womenwritersnet.bsky.social I’m looking after my grandson today and don’t have my laptop with me which means I can’t post from the WWN account. I’ll rectify this when I get home!
