Here’s my #WpgFringe discovery for the weekend - King Cob on Ellice is an awesome pub. Conveniently located across from the Gargoyle and next to the WECC. Cozy space, friendly staff, lovely local beer selection and the Mexi-Menno dog rules.

A lot of weird things have happened in #Manitoba, but I’d think If Day could probably make a Top 10 list. #WpgFringe www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
Very tough season to be an outdoor theatre in Manitoba - Rainbow Stage says July 12 matinee is cancelled due to poor air quality from wildfire smoke. #wpgtheatre
Happy birthday, old friend! (By which I of course mean long-standing, not elderly, friend.) And the attached is, needless to say, a joke. You’ll never stop caring about pop culture. (Please explain to me what a Chappell Roan is when you have time.)
A great read by @cazmoreau.bsky.social about Pauline Boutal, the “grande dame” of Cercle Moliere, which has now been operating for 100 years(making it Canada’s oldest active theatre company). www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
A useful reminder that the answer to the question “does this need a copy edit?” is always “yes.” (Although I would like one of them electrimified cars.)
I hope it will be followed next season by a live production of Waiting for Guffman. It’s time.
That is a good-lookin’ season, SiR. Always happy to see Mackers, but I have shamefully never actually seen a live production of Godot. Looking forward to the chance to fix that.
A Winnipeg trifecta - political activism, politeness, winter activity. (Bad photo owing to cold photographer, but reads “Never a state, enjoy your skate” - along the Assiniboine River trail at Spence Street.)
*Googles “is Shakespeare Cancon if we do it in tuques”*
Absolutely. Kilter’s Vintage is another great local “gateway” craft beer.
