Might do another fanart that actually draws most of the cast, including Jax, BiPoc.

Him and zooble (the gruff outsiders) always get made darker skinned compared to the rest of the cast - especially Gangle. Who likewise has no human qualities in her avatar.

(yet both are seldom made clearly BiPoc)

What happens when Jax is no longer a tumblr sexyman? What happens when a "niche theory" (that the trans community seems to share🤔) is made canon by the trans creator of the show?

My guess is she'll stop being as popular with the cis women. We've seen fans pick up and put down characters so fast...

💭: I really do wonder what will happen to Jax fanart once s/he comes out. All the humanized art of Jax is as a dark tan hoodied bad boy. Some of these creators have even said they dont think a trans jax is as "interesting"...

Bc the memorials are just warrior culture. Someone is only valuable to the U.S. gov so long as they can kill.

But a person who became disabled fighting in some war is NOT typically useful to their mission of projecting an image of lethal strength and "righteous" cause.

All the memorials are genuinely just advertising. No matter how much you care, the gov doesnt.

Otherwise we'd have an equal # of monuments to teachers.. doctors.. or all the garbage collects who died keeping our world free of accumulating filth (its one of the most dangerous jobs, look it up)

ANSWER: because the U.S. as a culture and an empire doesnt actually care about the human life that *became* a soldier but could have something else.
They care about getting YOU to care SPECIFICALLY about the *idea* of a soldier.
