The Original Trilogy bias on these says a lot about its target market, I suppose.
Sorting out more Lego for the eBay pike and this was a cool little range and its a shame they didn't do more of it.
This really feels like an admission of creative failure.
always this.
I haven't seen it other than pictures but it does look like a real mess and I'm not sure what they're trying to achieve.
I say this from a place of fond childhood memories.
* Godzilla towers over the Tees Transporter Bridge. Flames, Chaos, explosions. Jet Fighters scream overhead. *
Me: Oh thank god now it'll be easier to explain to people where I grew up.
They've recently started trying to market it as more of an event but deep down its a spin off of a TV show and even its trailers know it. I expect it to be "fine".
Always. You can't trust him.
Like, I'll probably see the Mando flick at cinemas but unless the reviews are spectacular I'll give Doomsday a miss and the other one can get in the fucking sea gor a host of reasons.
It feels strangely freeing to realise I genuinely could not give a shit about the next Avengers Movie, The Kid Wizard TV Show or the Mando/Goblin movie.
I came last. So that was nice.
Odd variant of Maglev Metro this - some fun ideas but not sure we'll rush to play it again. Still thr expansion has 6 (!!) varients anyway so we've got the rest to work through.

A ridiculous cat, helping.
Games afternoon with extra helper.
Oooh Yikes.
One of my weirdest hills to die on is that in parallel or alternative universes they really shouldn't call Tanks "Tanks" because they has such a wierd and specific origin.
This absolutely has too many tones and ideas to contain and its all over the place but you know what, I really liked it.
Its nowhere near as cool as it sounds.
But oddly I now also want a badge.
Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die.
Anyway, movie night.
Due to a mix of attrition and me being the only driver in the house, we are down to only a small and large wineglass in the house so I get to chose if I want a small or large glass whenever I open a bottle.
Its always the large. I mean have you seen it out there?
I was once asked about my T-shirt which had the nose art from the "Aliens" dropship on it by a barista and when i told him where it was from he said "cool, I love old movies" and I feel I aged 20 years on the spot.
this reminds me that in my last game I had an apocalyptic preacher do a whole sermon (i wrote extracts of it) about how the world would end and it was a plot summary of Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Sometimes I worry I GM to amuse myself mostly.
What's your favourite bible quote? (Wrong answers only)
"And the Sign Said
The Words of the Prophets are Written
On the Subway Walls
And Tenement Halls"
oh we just finished Shrinking, i like that show.
There is just too much good stuff around at the moment, but we can watch a lot of it with the kids, which is nice.
i mean we are only doing about 2 episodes of this a week. I've so old i can remember shows coming out weekly being the norm.
There is also a style prevent on the streamers where they assume you're looking at your phone so constantly repeat beats or have characters just state things that could be subtext or implied.
Shows like The Pitt (and The Bear, etc) are very much "Stop looking at your fucking phone" TV.
Its definitely "old school TV like they don't make anymore" in some ways isn't it? But its so well put together.
Not classy medical dramas per se, so much as intimate human stories told by people who know how to land a dramatic beat.
Its part of the "moment" that horror movies seem to be having too.
