I remember Manimal well. A great idea. So was The Gemini Man, a man with a handy watch that makes him invisible for 15 minutes at a time.

I’m glad it wasn’t just me confused! I got the Alsace clues, and the German engraving on the church door suggested somewhere near the border, then… it wasn’t. 🤷‍♂️

That’s interesting that you say that the boos were muted at Eurovision. I was in the standing area in the arena and didn’t hear any boos at all. Maybe there could have been some in other parts of the arena, but they weren’t generally audible. Did you or people you know experience otherwise?

But both Mum and I felt the footage, and the subsequent interviews with me and her, were handled very well and that the production company The Garden - were extremely professional. The long day of interviews was an emotional one, but sensitively handled, and their aftercare has been excellent.

Nothing good would come from wishing anything less for him.

Mum and I have already seen the episode. For those who know them, there are moments that are upsetting. My Dad is shown in deep distress at one point, and that's a hard watch.

Today, for the first time, l've read the letter he wrote to us during the court proceedings. It's evident that the situation has been deeply traumatic for him too, and has devastated his life. I found the letter deeply moving, and hope he can find some way to piece together his life.

The full nature of the accident is only briefly touched on in the programme. My parents' car was stationary, and was hit head on by an ambulance speeding on an emergency call. The driver eventually went to court, and was acquitted. Mum and I bear him no ill will.

The episode of '24 Hours in A&E' about my family will be broadcast a week today, 3 June, on Channel 4 in the UK at 9pm, and available on catch-up afterwards.
The info given to listings magazines refers to Mum and Dad being in a 'high speed car crash'.

No, I think there’s a very valid point in not allowing them to participate in any cultural events. And I wished they weren’t in them myself. My point is that I’m not sure why social media piled on Eurovision last year (and this year, to a lesser extent). But it didn’t do the same with the Euros.
