Exactly why it's on my list! So many people dismiss it as a goofy gag/gimmick game, and it IS frequently extremely silly, but it's also very earnest and creative!

It's bonkers!! I will absolutely pay a premium to rent an in-theater movie at home because it's still FAR cheaper than buying tickets for the two of us, plus, as you point out, food and drink (and potentially transportation if we both want something with alcohol) as part of going out.

2. Do you know if ERR is at all playable with the default ER combat? I tried playing ERR, but I don't enjoy the combat changes to all the new dodges/etc so I uninstalled.

We used to have an Optoma, but the 4k model we upgraded to (from a 1080p one) wasn't great. We got a Dangbei DBOX02 and it's been great so far, though we were glad of the extended warranty we got from Asurion when it developed a display issue a year after getting it.

Plus:
- Food/drinks are way, WAY cheaper
- Can pause whenever
- Cats are there
- Wear your comfy jammies
- The only people talking and ruining the experience are you

A few years back for our anniversary, Rick and I decided our gift to each other would be a good quality projector for exactly this reason. Yeah it was expensive, but it meant we could watch stuff at home on a big, crisp screen, and over time, it's been WAY cheaper than seeing them in a theater.
