Another volunteering session at Harlow #parkrun this morning.
Time keeping. Quite stressful but very satisfying.
Hoping to start running again soon

Ooo we did that one a few weeks back, it’s very flat.

Volunteering at Harlow #parkrun done.
Ended up as funnel manager.
Weather held and got to see lots of happy people. Bit of FOMO but I know not running is for the best at the moment.

It’s #parkrun Eve and I’m broken. Last weekends crash is gonna stop me ridding and running for a while.
So I’ve volunteered at my local, Harlow.
My first go at time keeping.

Where are you off to ?

Well the weekend didn’t go as planned.
While riding the Easter Arrow (a 400km Audax event to York) I hit a pot hole in the dark 230km in and went down hard.
It took my team mates half an hour to get the bike useable again and we rode the next 170km, but I am pretty beat up.
Rest for me for now.

Did not feel spacious on Valentine’s Day 🤣🤣🤣

Fulham Palace #parkrun done straight after the 100mile London Lockdown charity ride.
Great night, but it took its toll on my back (which I’m having physio on) and the run was crap.
It’s a 3 lap course and I jogged, walked jogged.
Plus side course and weather were stunning and I now have an F

Congratulations. What an achievement.
I struggle to mix the cycling (my first love) with the running so only managed 20 parkruns last year, but I did do 22,000km on the bike.

Working towards.
Still need another 8 letters, hopefully by the end of the year.

What about you ?

I like a bit of parkrun tourism so Fridays prep day, check out parking, or public transport,
Trail or road shoes etc etc.
Riding overnight tonight meant I had to slightly more organised than normal

Catford’s within my hour radius rule (self induced) so I’ll get there one day.

After riding London Lockdown, which is 100miles over night.
Ride starts at 21:30 and 350 have signed up so it should be a laugh.

No parkrun this weekend I had an enjoyable Audax riding the Horsepower 200 helpers ride yesterday with @peterharperuk.bsky.social and some other ACME regulars.

I found it quite easy, the app was so easy to use.
It was good chatting to everyone though.

Something different for #parkrun this morning.
Volunteering at our local, Harlow.
Never volunteered before.
Looking forward to it.

All done 10 1/2hrs elapsed, with 4 stops. Macca’s, co-op, paddle at Dunwich 🥶🥶 and Subway.
Now on the way home.
Caught out by the sun and warm weather I’m pretty dehydrated.
You’d think I’d know better 🤦‍♂️

Sure is. I’m actually borrowing the DD route today.
Currently in Framlingham.

Amazing.
I did Sonsbeek a couple of years ago on a bike tour of the Netherlands. The park was stunning and the people so friendly. They even did the briefing in English for me and 2x South Africans.
Would love to go back at some point

Change of plan this morning after sitting on the M11 for over half an hour.
Instead of the new Watford #parkrun we went back to Gunpowder park.
Not nearly as quick as a year ago but my quickest of 2026 by a minute.
