The simple joy of a day that’s too small to surf but fun to swim. 🇮🇪
As the pros head to Portugal I had to dig out this frame from the most insane Supers day I’ve had the pleasure of shooting. William Aliotti on the knife edge between heaven and hell.
I’ve picked a fine old time to move to north Norfolk 🤬
Baffling how in this day and age such things can occur
That man Alan Stokes in shralp mode at the Corner.
Curren calm in the chaos. Back in the days of the Canon 20D you’d be shitting it that you’d miss the wave of the winter as you waited for the buffer to clear. Thankfully not an issue these days.
Now that was a cracking day of rugby.
Portuguese light show.
Canada has its moments. Shots from one of the luckiest scores of my career. Day one. Foggy, flat. Then we scored mad waves, blizzards and bluebird conditions with the beach covered in fresh pow. All topped off with lashings of great food and craft beer. You can see why Vince and Oli look happy ☺️
Every ten minutes here is like:
- Trump doubles student debt
- Musk now has keys to your house and is in your bathroom doing plumbing drugs
- Three planes just crashed
- Trump signs EO making women illegal
- Face-melted Nazi from Indiana Jones now in charge of CIA
- Meteor not arriving fast enough
Hi Orlando. Sorry I don’t. All the slides got lost by FedEx when being sent to a magazine. So annoying as was such a brilliant trip.
We’ve been watching Wolf Hall, a fascinating study of how the fragile male ego of a fickle, greedy despot creates a culture of deep cruelty and mistrust, where everyone lives in fear of saying the wrong thing. Thank goodness we’ve moved on from those times.
Soooo good
New?!?
Exposure
Mole mining a Mexican shorebreak. Shortly after this pic I noticed my housing was leaking. Got back to the shallows and promptly got detonated by a set and cracked a rib. Thankfully the camera survived.
A fun corner of coral in the Cook Isles. Fun fact: to get back to shore you had to walk over the reef and swim the lagoon. After this swim I jumped into the lagoon & because I had goggles on could see the startled lion fish I’d nearly swan-dived into. I’ve never swam backwards so slowly in my life.
I’m digging it. Like Twitter before the rot set in ☺️
Good to see the Zuck abandoning all hope of being a refuge of fact and following Musk down the rabbit hole. Threads accounts binned off. Twitter deleted a good while ago and FB I’ve been off for years. Just IG to go. May BS stay BS free.
Fisheye fun with Mikey Morgan at EBay.
Here’s to a cracking 2025 🙌🏼
Gearoid McDaid getting it done at home.
It’s that ‘Google Barbados hols and quickly realise you can’t afford the dose of vitamin D’ time of year. Still a wonderful place to escape the grey if you can. This if from a press trip that was a very rare jaunt with time to actually relax and enjoy the place. This is the maestro Luke Dillon.
Kolohe Andino cruising in a French keg
Phone cameras are insane these days.
Tax Knight, from a glorious days swimming at Thurso East.
Stormy seas erupting into the sky over the granite cliffs of Sennen.
Skadoosh!
Dane Hall and his effortlessly calm approach to the maelstrom of Supertubos.
In a press release Heinz have said "We will NEVER make a Bolognese version of Alphabetti Spaghetti" - They don't mince their words.
Oil Adams and a most fortuitous coming together of water and light. This joint is my favourite chunk of rock in the world to swim and shoot. Sure if you get caught inside you get a free chiro whomp into the reef but that’s part of the fun #surfphoto
