There’s a 2000s era movie called CASHBACK about an art student who imagined he could stop time to develop his creativity.

The movie itself is meh, but that idea of stopping time is something I think every artist would want to see their idea all the way through without the constraints of the day.

I hate all these companies. We create content, they exploit it, and then act as gatekeepers to the very audience we've built. It's such bullshit.

I’m with George Lucas on modern Star Wars- I’ve moved on. It was HIS artistic vision I was interested in, not Disney’s fan fiction factory.

Yeah, if I don’t switch to decaf by 1pm i’ up all night watching YouTube. 😂

I noticed BlueSky was down earlier today but didn’t miss it because I hardly have any engagement on here.

In fact, until proven otherwise, I’m operating under the assumption that 97% of people on here are bots programmed to ignore my posts. 🤷🏽‍♂️😂

MA has gotten into the flavored waters but they’re so not my thing. I guzzle a ton of the regular stuff daily.

And I only drink decaf after 1pm because I love coffee that much. 😂

If SCRUBS can come back and be great then other good things like society valuing art, science, intelligence and decency can come back, too.

I’m speaking it into existence!

I sometimes get judgy looks when I get decaf coffee.😄

This is so awful. Andy and everyone at Marvel Studios is amazing.

If they really wanted to cut costs, they could start with that ridiculous executive pay before touching the people who actually create value for the company.

Also, the Heat tend to do well and win every time I’m fully paying attention to the game. When I’m multitasking or doing something else, they lose.

If Erik Spoelstra knew this, I’m sure I’d be kidnapped on game days and forced to watch games. (Somebody feel free to tell him.)

Watching the HEAT @ Hornets play-in game.

I feel partly* responsible for this because we attended a Hornets game in Charlotte earlier this year and they turned things around immediately after that to pass Miami in the standings.

*- Miami running back the same core roster yearly is also at fault.

I have become an avid fan of ALT-TEXT. 🔥

It’s my version of a peanut inside the M&M chocolate shell.

a woman with red hair is talking to a man in a suit and says two weeks . Alt: Relax, Bluesky Scold, the ALT-TEXT is here. Now, log off and do something productive that doesn’t require doomscrolling and seeing if some random person followed some online etiquette rule you feel the need to enforce. Like, did some municipality deputize you for that? Anyway, you’re done here. Now for those who genuinely need the ALT-TEXT, this is a GIF of the late, great character actress Priscilla Allen in the classic sci-fi film TOTAL RECALL as the red-haired lady who famously repeated the phrase “two weeks”. As to why she did that, I encourage you to watch the film if you haven’t because it’s the kind of movie Hollywood doesn’t make anymore (which is a shame.)

So basically, the current occupant of The White House is the Total Recall lady.

Every two weeks it’s just another

That sounds about right.

I guess hate watching gives those people social cover to still talk about something they secretly like.

My goodness, what a way to live.

I don’t think enough people in America are following #ArtemisII. In decades past, that would’ve been the main thing people would be watching.

People “hate read”?! 😂

That’s a waste of time and mental energy. They should seek help.

If nothing else, my ALT-TEXT descriptions are probably the only thing entertaining me here on Bluesky, where engagement feels like a populated ghost town.

a man in a jacket is talking to another man in a kitchen and making a face . Alt: If you’re a Bluesky Scold looking to check if ALT-TEXT was properly embedded in this GIF, stop it and seek help for your internet righteousness. Don’t be insufferable. No one likes that. But if you genuinely need the ALT-TEXT, welcome to a GIF of actor Okieriete Onaodowan of “Hamilton” and “Station 19” fame shrugging his shoulders with the caption saying “I mean….” Good day to YOU, genuine ALT-TEXT user! And to the Bluesky Scold…please go touch grass. You’re online too much!

I don’t understand the concept of “hate watching”.

Anyone doing that is still WATCHING the show/movie they claim to hate.

These people must not value their own time.

Just learned that there is an official term for online etiquette people who like policing everyone-

“Bluesky Scolds”. 😂

From what I’ve observed on here, that seems accurate to me.

I use Captain Sisko’s leadership strategies daily. Deep Space Nine should be required viewing for anyone in leadership because it is perhaps the most honest of all the Star Trek series in regard to what it really takes to lead others.

a man is sitting in a chair with his hands on his chin and looking at the camera . Alt: For those who tapped for Righteous Internet Policing to see if ALT TEXT was used- please go touch grass and seek help for why you feel the need to do that. For those who genuinely need the ALT TEXT- this is a GIF of the legendary and iconic actor Avery Brooks as Captain Benjamin Lafayette Sisko from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine placing his hand on his face in a satisfying manner.

I guess I’m one of those bad people because I keep missing these “online etiquette” meetings where these new rules keep getting dished out. 😂

I’m chronically offline on here for days, sometimes even weeks.

Every time I return there’s always some new “online etiquette” that people lose their minds over if it’s not followed.

Also just learned about the terms “motion”, “bimbofication” & “looksmaxxing”.

Humanity, are you ok???

a man in a red outfit is saying i am not a merry man Alt: Ah, you have returned for more ALT TEXT descriptions. Well, this time Michael Dorn as Worf is dressed like a merry man from Robin Hood, to which Worf says “I am not a merry man.” There you go. Thanks for coming. Remember to stay hydrated because it’s very important for overall health.

We do not get hilarious scenes like this in those super short, sometimes emotionally-abusive, intense yet entertaining 10-episode seasons (like Star Trek Discovery.)

a man is holding a cat and says tell him he is a pretty cat and a good cat Alt: Ah, you are here for the ALT TEXT, I see. Well, I hope you are having a great day seeking this description of actor Michael Dorn as Worf in Star Trek TNG holding Data’s cat Spot while actor Brent Spiner tells Worf to praise the kitty. If you genuinely need the ALT TEXT, there it is and I wish you good day. But everyone else checking to see if a suitable ALT TEXT is present can stop playing Righteous Internet Etiquette Cop and go touch grass.

Honestly, all Star Trek really needs is longer seasons with a great cast people can relate with.

Show stories of the characters during their downtime in between epic missions. That’s what made TNG, DS9 and Voyager great. Audiences got to live with those crews every week & we loved it!
