I’ve noticed a pattern among movements in that they are usually started by great people for great causes but, somehow, eventually, end up being run by idiots.
It never ceases to amaze me how people who talk about “hard” or “harsh” truths seem to be much more interested in the “hard” or “harsh” than the truth.
Here’s a “harsh” truth; The emotional impact of a statement has no bearing on its truthfulness.
So all the “scientific” BS conservatives slapped on various minorities over the centuries from black people being inherently inferior due to “skull shape/size,” LGB having “no gay gene”, etc. which all eventually was found to be BS and nobody seems to have caught on to the pattern yet…
