I’m really glad I started learning to drive back in the Netherlands before moving. Even though I really didn’t like my driving instructor - I know the basics of safe driving.
In the NL, driving on the highway feels much safer than driving in the city. Here - it’s the opposite.
And I didn't want a small car (even if it’s easier to drive and park) because I have some hiking plans, sooo 🫣👀
So much has happened since the beginning of this year. The thing that scared me most 🧠 - it’s driving.
Whole my life I did my best to avoid it, but you really can’t get around without a car in the U.S.
Btw I stopped being surprised by how crazy the world can get some time ago, and for my own sanity I’ve learned not to plan any travels for late February - March. It helps a bit 🤝
I’ve been quiet lately to focus on a few personal things - and I’ll probably need another month or so. Everything is good though. Happy birthday to me 🥂🫡🫂

📦 Moving to the US soon 🇺🇸 🥂 - so I’m selling a few things we *very unfortunately* can’t take with us.
You know… in the US, the power standard is different (something like 110-120V vs 230-240V in Europe), so some electronics aren’t compatible without bulky adapters 🥲🥲🥲

After 1,5 years of pain and chemotherapy, my mom passed away today. I want to share this with someone, but I’m not ready to talk about it.

I almost never go to my GP (it’ll go away by itself), but when I do - only if I’m in real pain - I wait about 2 weeks for the GP appointment, and then at least another 1,5 months for a specialist (aka real doctor 😁)
