@thorstenball.com Waiting for the creation of signal files and using claude as a subprocces was awkward. Is this easier to do with amp?

the script waits for the sub Claude process to finish by waiting for it to create a signal file. then another script is used as EDITOR when invoking jj split that also creates a Claude sub process to write the commit messages. Super automagic jj split (2/2)

Just wrote some bash scripts with Claude. The first script is called Claude-diff-tool and it can be passed to jj split as a diff editor. that script itself creates a new instance of Claude code and give it all the context that it needs to do the split. (1/n)

Have you all been following the work dioxus has been doing on hot reloading?

Have you been following the work that dioxus has been doing on hot reloading?

I (as an intern) trained a team of three other interns with no prior rust experience to work on a rust project. I worked with each one 1-1 just going through rustlings and they were all productive within about 3 days. It really wasn't bad.

Axum. Without having ever created a web service claude generated exactly what I was looking for

Floem 0.2.0 if finally released! WASM, Vello integration, animations, it's all there!

I've been pushing to get a new release of Floem out for a bit now... but it feels like there is always just one more thing...

I'm not sure why this feels like such an accomplishment... but it does feel good.

This is showcasing rendering items with arbitrary transforms and that events still are processed as expected. Doing all of this with Vello as the renderer made this super easy

merged a ton of stuff! but now the tree doesn't look anywhere near as impressive... these are conflicting feelings

love postcard but I'd also love to hear updates on what you find effective for *communicating*. It's hard to build a compelling announcement for technical stuff

There is something incredibly satisfying about optimizing my workflow, even if it is just for creating a new project

seems to me like they are doing what they can to move away from their historical patterns of (yearly) updates. probably anything to move to less frequent updates without making people think that their favorite product has been forgotten

Simple todo app in Floem

Simple todo app in Floem

Building a basic todo app in Floem was super easy, but focusing on all of the micro interactions of real world use exposed a lot of bugs that I needed to fix. Working great now though!

This would be good. But honestly the most difficult thing in your current jj tutorial is the lack of color highlighting on the output. For the longer outputs, it becomes unreadable. Even just having bold on the change ids would be huge

I'm also building Floem, a high performance Rust GUI library. Hopefully we'll have another release out soon (as soon as I can finish updating the docs)

Somewhat unrelated but I found this tutorial to be pretty good after I read steve's. (this one is more than just what you're looking for but it filled in a lot of gaps for me)
