I think 4e was great and I’m enjoying running DS a great deal. Understand that it is the opposite of Torchbearer in most ways, but that’s why it fills a nice niche for me. You need a group that loves tactical combat and teamwork.
I played and ran a lot of 4e. It feels virtually the same to me.
What are your feelings on D&D 4e? It’s basically D&D 4.5. If that was your jam, you’ll love it. I find the book frustrating to reference in play, but the game itself is solid.
