A long haired teen in a heavy metal shirt gave me his last quarter to play Mortal Kombat at the local pizza joint and I still think about him.

The more I think about this, the more I think it would be a genuinely unsettling film. Presenting, as the protagonists, green clad men with guns robbing armored cars and ambushing law enforcement would probably court a wee bit of controversy.

Was chatting with another medievalist about the new #RobinHood movie. I said the time was right for a classic “Rob from the rich, give to the poor” adaptation, and he said “What if it was a contemporary adaptation?”

I am now drafting a 21st Century Rob Hood in my head.
