Fuck it. Let’s run every tank car and then throw everything else I brought on for good measure. Restrictions be damned!

Met a childhood hero this morning
Finally, passenger cars.
Show finds. Finally got some passenger cars
Convinced a friend to add his to the lashup.
No idea, that’s out of my jurisdiction
He made another one
Caboose not required!
It’s nerf or nothing bitch
Recently installed DCC into this Rapido LRC for a friend on commission. I designed a custom 3D printed speaker baffle that straddles the driveshaft to allow as much sound as possible, came out pretty nice with plenty of base. Video below!
I’ve got one I pulled off a friend’s trash pile. Never used it since it can’t contain the rattle cans + the paint I’m using needs to be vented outside regardless
I would do that but the paint is toxic as hell and there’s nowhere decent to vent it
It’s warmed up enough, time to break out the paint cans again
Please stop sending me the athearn joke announcement. They clearly don’t understand how the CR livery is applied to stuff and I’ve done a quick phone edit already. If they couldn’t rip a decent quality CR logo I’m not going to put any effort into this either
Finally put my pride and joy of a locomotive back together after a sideswipe collision with an inattentive engineer
My friend said he needed a CR blue GP30 for something and he sent this t shirt design back and insisted I post it
You asked me?
That’s not a high hood, so it works more naturally. Also it’s important to remember that diesel locomotives are designed to be disconnected and reconnected as necessary. If you want aesthetics you go with a carbody unit, if you want practicality you go with a hood unit.
The B unit styling feels much more intentional with the way that the hump actually extends out onto the short hood. I wouldn’t call it good, but it’s significantly better than having the hump randomly stop halfway through the cab.
I’d say after the first gen. The GP9 was the first offered with a low hood and by the 20 it was the standard. The 30 is very clearly designed to be a low hood first by the way that the GM automotive department designed it.
