Definitely, there’s a lot to it. I’ve had it on a loop as I’m working but I’m still having to stop and rewind to listen again.

Aw lovely, thanks. I’m definitely partial to to good water tower :-)
The Spanish Galleass ‘La Girona’ was wrecked off the Antrim coast in 1588. Only nine survived out of an estimated 13,00. Among the dead were countless slaves from Central and South America. A ring was found made from conquistador gold ‘No tengo mas que dar te’ - ‘I have nothing more to give thee’
Your trust in the world, in people, disappears. You can’t trust because you can lose…….. everything is broken. Drawing confronts the world but hides from it at the same time.
Just seeing how these look together

Thank you! I love when that happens. I was always very shy about my drawings and it seems strange that I would post them so much now but one of the lovely things that can happen is that the process takes on a life of it’s own that you can’t allow for.
Thanks Donna, I don’t know what to make of them at times. They sometimes seem to have a life of their own 🙄
😂 it would probably save a lot of the time I spend thinking of the right title
It is isn’t? It seems to fit anything. I’m tempted to call all my drawings after it :-)
Heavy Structures in a Landscape Setting - is a title lifted shamelessly from a painting by a William McCance and at the minute exists only as a series of drawings printed and glued to form a clumsy approximation of a book.
Lovely to be able to do the artwork for this:

sensing the openness
feeling out the lines
order and anarchy
chaos and cosmology
a mental geography

More offcuts and changes of direction, oh go and read a book, it’s so much more worthwhile

Cheers Grant, another excuse (as if I needed one) to post the original lyric sheet I got if Chalkie, with misspellings, crossings out, fingerprints an'all. The closest thing I have to a religious relic.
