Nobody who stays supporting a president who could post about ending a civilization can be taken seriously.

I mean. We have to take them seriously as a threat, but that's about all.

Kids will honestly not know how to do because the adults around them aren't teaching them. If you don't teach them, know that their racist classmates have parents who are teaching and if those are the only kids who know what to do ...

And I'm thinking about classrooms today where kids are doing this with their peers: Palestinian and Jewish kids, Iranian kids. Mexican kids. Freezing them out while watching the adults for a clue about who they can be friends with.

So I'm thinking about him. About my classmates and how oblivious we were thinking that we could betray him like that and honestly believe things could be normal again.

I was in high school when the whole hostage thing happened and we had a kid in our class who was Iranian. We honestly didn't know if we should be friends with him anymore. It passed after a couple of days and things went back to normal.

For us at least. I doubt it went back to normal for him.

And knowing that evangelical Christians are sparkling at the possibility of Big War makes me ill.

The fact that he could post about ending a civilization and stay in charge of the country is mind boggling.
