It took me by surprise but I should have known better shouldn't I! ๐
@k8lister.bsky.social Kate!! Only a minibus on the way home from the cancer hospital is not the time to be sniggering!! Just listening to the Crippen episode, should have expected you to say something like holy fuckballs ๐
Yay Jackie is on bluesky!
Hi, I'm honoured!!
Congratulations ๐
Me too!

Happy New Year everyone! I know 2025 is going to get worse for me before it gets better but looking forward to the light at the end of the tunnel with our wedding in September
I'd pay to see you and @k8lister.bsky.social get pissed and chat about history ๐
I agree, I was only 39 when I discovered the lump in my breast and I didn't hesitate going to my GP thankfully, everything went quickly from there, saw breast clinic 19/7 had scans and biopsy that day and surgery 7/8. Currently half way through 15 cycles of chemo then got radiotherapy to come too
Thank you, I'm having to have chemo and radiotherapy after my initial lumpectomy so it is tough but I've got our wedding next September to focus on being well again for

Exactly!
I've started losing my hair from chemotherapy but the spiky chin hairs are holding on tight!!
Yeah she's so relatable with how she discusses things so a lot of people who wouldn't get into a more 'boring history' style would be interested in her stuff, as long as they don't mind her saying what she actually thinks about historical people ๐๐ she doesn't mince her words!
I have a history degree but haven't worked in the field but have had a massive interest in history from being a teenager! My favourite podcasts are history related, especially Betwixt the Sheets
