When it comes to public sector unions - I am torn. I want people to be paid well and get good insurance. But in NYC - we are getting choked by high pension payouts and bespoke rules that drive up the costs for everything (see plumbing, elevator, escalator costs) that benefit unions.
What would be the best policy to stop these things from happening?
