Listing them out makes it easier to notice:

- Wind Waker/Phantom Hourglass/Spirit Tracks
- Link Between Worlds/Tri-Force Heroes (to a lesser extent)
- BotW/TotK

I'd argue they still do, for the main series, as each visual style only sticks around for 2, maybe 3 games

The BotW/TotK style just seems to have overstayed its welcome because of the longer gaps between releases, and the "Age of" spin-offs using the same style for consistency's sake

To me, it learned all the correct lessons from the first movie, *especially* regarding the soundtrack

The different animation styles were really fun, and the no ai disclaimer at the end of the credits is always nice to see

("it" being the mario galaxy movie, forgot to type)

I guess I can get disliking stuff like Peach's more action-focused characterization, getting irked by the crossover bit, or just hating on Illumination in principle

But to call it slop like I've seen a few people doing already is a bit much imo

I had a bunch of mario-related terms muted, so I was only vaguely aware that people had mixed feelings on it

Seeing them side by side like this, and yeah the original is so ass. At least I can say I have gotten better in 9 years...

Last night I watched DaThings' YTP "Speedfolded" and I truly think the idea of the speedrunner Bubzia having an opposite counterpart named AntiBubzia who cancels out all of Bubzia's speedruns by simultaneously performing the same speedruns backwards is the funniest joke I've ever seen in a YTP.
