I've been sitting on this news for a couple of weeks now, and I'm excited to finally share.
I signed the contract today for my forthcoming book, "All Thy Sons Command: Childhood and the Canadian Far Right". I have a dissertation to finish first, but this is huge at this stage in my academic career.
I am a mature student myself with a full time corporate job and a full time course load and two kids with disabilities who I parent, and if I presented work this poor for school or my job, there would be repercussions. She is clearly out of her depth, and as a student, that’s not on me to fix.
That isn’t the case here, I am very aware we all make mistakes. However, when the mistakes are this numerous and the professor does not answer emails, and the chair is unwilling to do anything to assist, it becomes more than I’m willing to give grace for. I’m paying for this course.
