Dems backed Chris Taylor, a former Planned Parenthood lawyer, legislator and bold progressive, for WI Supreme Court. Against the GOP’s pick, Taylor preached economic, social and racial justice, and WON A LANDSLIDE — carrying 42 or 72 counties.

There are huge lessons here for Dems and progressives.

one more #JohnCusack clip from MAX (2002)...as Max, the philandering art dealer takes hitler out to a bar, desperately trying to get this worked-up "artiste" to RELAX and maybe get laid...but it ain't gonna happen.

MAX (2002) was an interesting fictional historical drama, where #JohnCusack plays a Jewish art dealer/German veteran of WW1 (where he lost his right arm, his "painting arm") who mentors #hitler, another aspiring artist and veteran.

BULLETS OVER BROADWAY (1994) was pretty great. #JohnCusack played a struggling #playwright, forced to cast a gangster's girlfriend in his play...and it goes from there.

CITY HALL (1996) was a good oli-drama about a NOLA-raised deputy mayor of NYC, serving beneath an impressive mayor, played by #AlPacino. If you like this genre of film, this one is worth a watch! #JohnCusack

THE NUMBERS STATION 2012 was a unique #SpyMovie #ThrillerMovie and also a mostly-one-setting movie, too. I dug it and maybe you oughta check it out, too! #JohnCusack has a NUMBER of movies where he is a trained kiler/assassin and it seems to be something he's become known for...

DISTORTED 2018 did not look like a great movie...and it wasn't. :( The role #JohnCusack had was too small, and the script/plot, in general, was a bit disappointing and been done before.

I watched THE CONTRACT (2006) cuz it had #MorganFreeman in it, in addition to #JohnCusack! It was a pretty...unexceptional action flick, alas.

ONE LAST SUMMER (1986) was an early film from #JohnCusack that fell into that genre of "young men and women with a mythic 'last summer' before life changes..."...

then I watched THE PAPERBOY (2012), and dang, never imagined #JohnCusack as a swamp white trash ex-con, but nowww I've seen it. #NicoleKidman
