it's done well giving us comparisons to who we met in S1, and also introducing new med students on rotation who DON'T take it all in stride as our S1 cast did and rather behave how you'd expect people to, being completely overwhelmed by the stress of these 12ish hours

the show is stronger this season not having Gloria be the face of the issues with the healthcare system and how callous it can be, but via the doctors and patients themselves. this multi episode arc around the fear of being unable to afford care, leading to worse happening is so damn good

i should start talking more about The Pitt on here. I think this season has been a great 1-2 combo of not only putting everybody in similar scenarios from season 1, but showing that the biggest stressors aren't major events like the pittfest shooting, but the struggles of day to day life in the ER
