"Glück besteht nicht nur darin, an den verschiedenen Mußepraktiken und -kulturen Anteil zu haben, die eine soziale und kulturelle Ordnung gegenwärtig bietet, sondern auch darin, diese zu verändern oder neue Mußepraktiken zu erschließen."

Vielmehr geht mit der veränderten normativen Betrachtung der Muße die anthropologischeÜberzeugung einher, das menschliche Leben vollende sich darin, den Freiraum der Muße in Weisen zu nutzen, deren Verschiedenheit prinzipiell unbegrenzt ist.

This allows for radical social and political transformation. I'm not convinced, however, by Schürmann's enthusiastic response to this diagnosis. My alternative is, of course, phenomenological.
I lay out what I call Schürmann's "liquid normativity view", the idea that ontological and ethical systems are in a historical process of dissolution—what Schürmann calls "the end of metaphysics". With this, Schürmann thinks, normativity enters its liquid state, so to speak.
