Rubella is another. I know that for babies born with Congenital Rubella Syndrome can potentially have late manifestations of medical issues ie Glaucoma or heart issues. I THINK it's the same with people catching Rubella too...?

Interesting take. I may be wrong but to me there are 2 sign languages in the US- ASL & BASL. ISL or as the individual referred toi- International is not even a 'specife country'. Tho I can't remember if ISL and Gestundo are the same or not. Oof I miss being around more Deaf people in person :(.

My college has parent orientation but only for freshmen (not sure on Prep students) maybe a day or 2. If my parents wanted to stay a day or two longer they'd just go to my aunt's house...which happened to be a block and a half away...

Partly why I barely read anything on LinkedIn anymore. Sad day when the games (except Sudoku...not good with numbers)are the best part...

Yup... I met at least one deaf person in college who became deaf from mumps and of course the Rubella Baby Bulge (and why GU had the Northwest Campus for awhile for the Prep students). There's also polio. I worry for my two youngest great- nephews (both under age 2)...

I tend to talk a bit about Rubella as my mother contracted it in her first month. Deaf and vision problems (some came later in life for me). Part of the Rubella Baby Bulge in the early '60s. One of my friends' mother contracted it in Germany while pregnant before their family moved back to the US.

Both the arriving flight and the return flight. The return flight kept moving gates then outright canceled...next flight wasn't until the next morning @ 7 am, 7-8 hours after flight was cancelled. Good thing I have a brother where I could stay the night 😝. Frontier covered the cost of ticket.

Well another reason why I will never fly Frontier. I don't remember if I've ever noted I'm deaf when reserving tickets. I'm sure I did the last two times (Frontier and American). Never really had a problem 99% of the time. But this...ugh. Swore off Frontier after flights were delayed 5 hours 1/2
