Dust Queen | Chapter 1 - Growing Pains
Dust Queen | Chapter 1 - Growing Pains YouTube video by Grimm Tidings

I hereby crawl out of my hermit cave to share this wonderful thing~

So proud of what the team's accomplished; we made a #RWBY episode from across the globe, entirely volunteer, within the comfort of our own bedrooms and offices

it's so cool
look at it

A pair of Diplocaulus magnicornis swimming in a flooded Early Permian forest alongside a bunch of other animals like a small Eryops larvae

Diplocaulus magnicornis was a lepospondyl (which is a weird, likely polyphyletic group) that is famous for its weird boomerang shaped head.

This past week I've been rewatching RWBY from start to finish for the first time in years and I've just been fawning over stuff

I get very attached to short, specific pieces of music and here's one of many that's on my mind at the moment lol

It's so incredibly effective

These rocks are from the late Jurassic Period, about 100 million years after trilobites kicked the bucket

A sketch of a young boy, Oscar from the show RWBY, leaning against a pile of hay and reading a book. Next to him he has a slice of toast with egg and an apple.

old sketch from way back when I worked on RWBY so I was doodling characters in my down time a lot. Oscar is precious, and I gave him the Castle in the Sky meal special!

After a thorough review, I have made a new RWBY song tier list. Please don't get too mad at me, I truly love them all.

Hard to believe it's been 10 years...

This is one of my favourite clips of Monty that I think about and go back to regularly, not just because of the beautiful message it presents but because it's a wonderful encapsulation of how inspiring he was and continues to be β€οΈπŸ€πŸ–€πŸ’›

Nothing I didn't already know lol. The best answer for why Volume 7 is a bit of an outlier is that it was the volume that Alex scored pretty much in its entirety (IIRC the only scenes Jeff scored were Ironwood v Watts and RWBY v Ace Ops) and he's the one that just goes ham with thematic stuff lol

Being bored = doing simple stats on a niche topic

If for some reason you're also curious about how many times leitmotifs are used in each volume of RWBY then here you go (numbers are coming from my leitmotif docs, and averages are rounded to the nearest whole number)

You know the RWBY indoctrination is bad when you walk into the kitchen, see neapolitan flavoured wafer sticks, and instinctively hum Neo's theme.....

When a T. rex is not stomping, shaking their heads and roaring, they are just like us. And cats.
