190724 I got really into orca in summer 2019 not really for the generative stuff but bc I wanted I wanted to build infinite step sequencers that could read from .txt files and retrigger on the fly
Good news is we just got a bunch of new shime heads that don't sound like they went through the washing machine. Bad news is I still haven't finished this arrangement
on viet coffee and an incredible $6 banh mi, brattle books has a surprisingly good photo/art book selection, newbury uniqlo and muji are a good way to spend a few hours and too much money, comicopia's manga selection is better than newbury comics imo, city hall is worth seeing for its architecture
harvard art museums are amazing (and free), gardner museum is a MUST see (but not free), the arboretum in may is stunning with lilacs, east boston has cool industrial zones, chacarero in dtx is my top pick for underrated restaurant and only open during weekday lunch, ba le in dorchester to load up

(Guy who loves baseball voice) We should all be watching more baseball. Also you should read seabiscuit. I sound like a moron
Everyone loves 17776 (me too) but i feel that people don't fully appreciate the power of pro sports as a storytelling vehicle. And i don't mean in the shonen sports manga way. Like obviously jon bois can masterfully tell a story about anything but i think we should all be watching more baseball
Sometimes people ask me how you can tell between the two and usually I just say "Oh you'll know"
