I suppose I wish we could come to a point culturally where this isn't often reacted to as a contradiction. Like... if there is room for complexity, there is also room for simplicity, and those don't bump.

It's an interesting thing to hold a strong belief that gender should be whatever the hell you, individually, want it to be, and exist in myriad permutations, but also be a person who has thoroughly explored her own gender and it's just "girl" straight up.
