I don't begrudge someone getting paid for their time and expertise, but I just found out a particular educational speaker makes a sixth of my salary for one talk. Didnโt expect that. Really questioning my life choices and professional ambition.

I typed "AdornoBot" and now feel like I lost brain cells.
My feelings about AI can be a bit complicated, but I'm reasonably confident that having AI impersonate a specific person as an authority of what the individual would say is deeply flawed, be it a deceased loved one, figure in US history, or Jesus. I'm sure we all need an AdornoBot in our life.
Whatever one thinks about AI, I devoutly avoid Google Overviews. They're wrong or misleading so often. The web search experience continues to worsen.
Trump has been satiated at times by his ability to spin a narrative to his will and fabricate new realities. In complex foreign conflicts, that becomes increasingly difficult with a resolute adversary. It's clearly driving him to unhinged outbursts of anger. Deadly foreign policy by toddler.
I am also available for paid consultation. ๐
Right, dinosaur documentaries didn't invent this framing. I've just seen it SO many times with similar beats and settings that I'd love to see someone get creative with a different way to present this story.
I appreciate the layers of depth and insight. Even on a more "casual viewer" level, the standard conflict-based dino doc narratives are getting stale. How many of this trying to eat that, earthquake, volcano, climate change, starvation and drought, etc., do we need? Mix it up somehow.
It's a real phenomenon. "I may not love everything that's going on, but the alternative was incarcerated transgender people receiving gender affirming care, and that's unacceptable."
At the very least, "Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all rolled into one" is unmistakably a threat. If you can't recognize that, you are either being intentionally disingenuous or are not reading the post with any clarity. Generally, does this sound like the President is well?
He was hacked, right? If not, how can anyone deny that the President is completely unwit and unwell?
I love when someone thinks they're dropping a thought bomb on me by bringing up the NBA and saying 48/6 = 8 and 40/5 = 8. I get it. Let's adjust the rules to be more forgiving for college players
My primary experience on Bluesky is reading Big Accounts share writing and hot takes, as well as offering withering criticism of anyone who uses Gen AI for anything. It's definitely informative but not a very engaging place.
Ten years ago, I might have gotten badly worked up about something like this. I don't want to see UM win a basketball title, obviously. However between my age and the state of the world, I have been granted more perspective about what matters.
I would still pay $100, but I work in education.
"The woods have these things called 'deer.' You wouldn't believe it. White tails and everything. Who knew? I guess some people shoot them, which is a little sad, but people need to eat so these deer can be food, feed a family, the kids, they all love it. Maybe we'll serve deer in the ballroom..."
Nothing about Trump is really "funny" anymore, but he has so many of those ridiculous go-to's like taking something people are generally familiar with (be it the resurrection of Christ or the word "groceries") and talking like he's sharing newly discovered wisdom.
I just ate half of my fortune, which says something about quality of the cookie.
Adding Divine makes it closer, for sure. Even with the offseason improvements, the previous team had a first round draft pick at SG vs. this year's inconsistent platoon. Take Holloman as your backup PG vs. Wojick, and I have a clear choice. Remember, they won the conference by three games.
MSU 2026 - 2027 starting center idea: Xavier Tillman Sr. "Only" 27, still has a year of college eligibility, making 2.5 million to sit on the bench in the NBA. Match it and let him mentor the young players.
Why not? He has eligibility and there are no rules in college basketball anymore.
I bet Ward starts as an undersized center next year.
If not, it means one of:
1. McCullough makes a leap.
2. Taylor is ready beyond expectations.
3. Izzo brings in a starter big.
Any of those three would surprise me.
You think so? We don't have any consistent scorers and are particularly weak on the wing. I never thought of this team as a title contender. With Richardson and Holloman, even last year's team was better.
Lots of blame to go around. Scott is a frosh who should be coming off the bench as a role player. He'll be fine.
Yeah, MSU is playing terribly tonight, but they've been missing an offensive gear for some time. How many players on this team do you trust to score consistently?
"We're living in a world of digital limitlessness where Microsoft Copilot is going to make our lives easier and Office tools more efficient!"
"Can I copy-paste images into Excel yet?"
"Oh, that sort of technical capability is beyond imagination, but you can probably vibe code an agent to do it!"
"If Kat Abughazaleh doesn't know what's right for turning 27, how can she know what's right for Illinois?" The next attack ad is devastating.
Is that the sport with the calzone-shaped ball?
Watching NC State lose in the "first four" (still hate it), while MSU could really use another guard who can shoot, defend, and run some point is a bummer. I don't know that Tre Holloman ended up having the experience he hoped for, but that grass is often greener.
First, I bothered to look up what a Billiken is for the first time. That was a ride.

This is my first March Madness on Bluesky, and it is rough. Is there anybody out there? Should I start posting into the void?
Glad you said something. I was going to ask if you'd turned it off then back on.
