This is a problem that can easily be solved by encouraging and simplifying immigration. It's too bad the Republicans are doing the exact opposite.

In the same manifesto, Palantir's owners argued that we need a national military draft, that soft power is over, and that we were too hard on Germany and Japan after World War II. I don't think that company should be allowed to exist anymore.

That last quote seems a lot like him projecting what he’s doing to US citizens and the rest of the world.

There is something very freeing about pursuing photography for yourself, at least as long as you have the means to do it and don’t need to rely on it as a source of income.

And reading between the lines here… It’s no doubt also to protect from espionage by the US and Israel.

I wholeheartedly support this.

When Trump is finally gone I expect there’ll be dancing in the streets of every major city in the US, and probably in many of the smaller ones too. I feel very happy today for the people of Hungary.

Oil industry representatives say that to stall because they’re actually much happier about there being a blockade. It raises the price of oil a whole lot more than another $2.5mil per tanker transit fee would, and makes them way more money.

Great to see the people and processes behind the creation of @harmanphoto.co.uk’s color films.

If all US citizens of voting age were included, I don’t see that as a partisan thing or a problem. We’d end up with every eligible voter registered this way. I’m also totally fine with having the states control it. Ya know…registering all citizens isn’t at all what the Republicans want.

One would think if we can do this automatically, then certainly we could automatically register US citizens as voters.

I think it's not just Europe. We're losing all of our allies around the world (and understandably so).

Marshall's Spot-All is the only b&w retouching ink I think that's still available. SpoTone was discontinued years and years ago. You can still find old bottles of it on eBay sometimes.

One possible upside is it would reinforce a precedent for russia to make reparations to Ukraine for their invasion.

I’m concerned less with the humiliation of it than I am the unnecessary stupidity of starting the war in the first place.

I'm just hoping we last that long, and that our democracy is still intact enough for that election to be valid.

Mostly I'm worried about two things: 1) the safety of the Iranian people if Trump decides to use even small tactical nukes, and 2) russia seeing that and using it as an excuse to start doing the same to Ukraine.

It is admittedly more challenging for most people to protest here in the US given the risks associated with at-will employment and a the lack of universal healthcare.

The president speaks genocide The words, the law, the future

“A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again.”
These are the words of the president of the United States, today.
The president speaks genocide. And so we too must speak. Not only about crimes, but about their legal punishment.
