I love the guy, but this is becoming increasingly more accurate

I just watched the first one last night and couldn’t agree more. This period of History is dramatic and exciting enough. There will always be one or two liberties, but this was truly beyond the pale.
Did the @taskmaster.tv event at Battle Abbey and it was SO MUCH FUN! Awesome tasks like 30 second reenactments and royal proclamations, my kids loved it, almost as much as I did. Would thoroughly recommend!
Thanks for this article. We do a lesson that focuses on this question and it always provides interesting interpretations from the students, but we do not focus on her early life in much detail so I will be adding this to our work to enhance our students understanding!
Wanders off to watch Alan Rickman’s brilliant portrayal of Rasputin again…

Excellent, thanks Alex. I’ll probably go for Ned Blackhawk first and might go on from there! I appreciate the help.
@apf102.bsky.social I want to read a book about the American West. I don’t teach it but I just want to learn more about it. Currently choosing between ‘The Earth is weeping’ and ‘Bury my heart at wounded knee’ can I ask your expert opinion please? One of these or another?
Just finished this absolutely amazing book. It’s like I often say to my students, there are stories in History that, if someone had made them up and taken them to film producers/ publishers they wouldn’t make them because no one would believed they really happened. This is definitely one!
Time for another year at the Battle Medieval Fayre!
Borussia Dortmund hold a moment of remembrance for Margot Friedländer, a well-known Holocaust survivor who passed away at 103, with the whole stadium cheering in her memory.
Delighted my son has started reading the brilliant books by @tompalmerauthor.bsky.social he is taking them into school tomorrow as they are doing WW2!
I am so glad @markhamillofficial.bsky.social is on BlueSky! He was one of the very few highlights on the ‘other’ platform so I’m delighted to see his take on things again now I’m here!
Today in 1946 the first FA cup after the war saw Jackie Stamps, wounded at Dunkirk and told he would never play football again, smash the ball so hard that it burst. He scored twice in extra time to win the cup for Derby.
Curious, but on average how many hours a week of History revision outside of classroom sessions do you expect your students to be doing during your revision times?
@msquinnhistory.bsky.social you weren’t wrong about this weeks ‘Last of Us’ devastatingly brilliant TV. My wife popped her head round the door after I had finished watching it and said ‘Are you ready to watch the end of Adolescence now.’
I was not.
If anyone had ‘Leaking Bathroom Pipe at 7pm’ on their back to work Bingo card, I have you covered 🙄
This is how I felt when I found out ‘Steve’s Lava Chicken’ has been streamed so many times it’s got to number 21 in the UK charts.

I also gardened! My ongoing loathing of brambles until they produce Blackberries continues…
Alfred, the fourth of five Soul brothers to be killed in WW1 was killed today in 1918. His twin brother, Arthur, lost the will to live and died days later of wounds sustained in battle.
That was a pleasant first day on here. Thanks for all the follow backs!

Absolutely! 👍
Right, after leaving the other other place I found I really missed the History teachers and Historians that I had followed, so I’ve jumped on here! Good to see @hughrichards.bsky.social carrying on his amazing work, that pack was really useful!
