Full performance of “Somnus” from Final Fantasy XV with @ivgorchestra.com at Kaizoku Con, 21/3/26.
One of my favourite numbers to sing, such a rich, emotional vocal line. Always find it hard to keep my tears in towards the end. 🩵
Sometimes the 5 Song Shuffle delivers five bangers. Sometimes it pulls from all around your library with no idea of mixing the vibes together. Both are an experience. #musicsky
I’d like to convince you to stick with viola so there are more of us out there, but I’m pleased you’re sticking to the lower strings at least. 😆
I think all arts need a bit of a digital detox to get really comfortable again. Let’s just enjoy making noise in our own little spaces of the universe.
Damn, it has been a good while since I seen anyone talking about Star Fox Adventures. Definitely a series curveball but I really enjoyed it when I was younger.
I’m trying not skip on the shuffle as much as possible but I got a Christmas song and the less than a minute reprise of Shine A Light from Heathers and I don’t really think they count. 😅
Apple Music was feeling bizarre tonight so my 5 song shuffle had a few skips, sorry to inform you, but here we go:
1️⃣ Wicked - I’m Not that Girl
2️⃣ Red Hot Chili Peppers - Hump De Bump
3️⃣ Hairspray - Nicest Kids in Town
4️⃣ Jeff Williams - Ouch (Red vs Blue)
5️⃣ Marble Sounds - The Advice to Travel Light
Last night’s 5 song shuffle decided it was soundtrack/instrumental night except for Billie Eilish sneaking through.
Musicians feel this. Got to play the instrument to get better but need more hours in the day to actually feel motivated to get it out of the case.
Between Schubert and Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos, I’ve very fond memories of my chamber ensemble days in school.
Lisa singing with the Irish Video Game Orchestra. Violins and French horn visible in the background. Game footage from The Witcher 3 is on a screen in the back of the shot.
Holly (left) and Lisa (right) performing “Lumière” from Expedition 33: Clair Obscur with the Irish Video Game Orchestra.
Lisa performing “My Star” from Final Fantasy XVI with the Irish Video Game Orchestra.
A few action shots from @ivgorchestra.com concert at Kaizoku Con last weekend by DCOS Photography, featuring my fabulous duet partner @hollyhuddleston.bsky.social. More busy music weekends to come! 🎶
I also remember doing a Schubert quartet number in school but I can’t remember which one now! Schubert’s probably one of my favourite composers.
I’m a big Schubert fan. Very fond of his Arpeggione in A minor. Playing it for my viola performance diploma.
I forgot to tell you all my 5 Song Shuffle last night which is my attempt to not listen to the same music all the time:
1️⃣ Red Hot Chili Peppers - Tell Me Baby
2️⃣ Lewis Capaldi - Grace
3️⃣ Foo Fighters - Word Forward
4️⃣ The Gaslight Anthem - Biloxi Parish
5️⃣ Hamilton - Burn
#musicsky
Get your tickets now! You don’t want to miss this! 🫶🏻
Tonight’s 5 song shuffle is a more mixed bag than last:
1️⃣ The Answer - Get Back On It
2️⃣ FFXV OST - Blues de Chocobo
3️⃣ LOTR Fellowship of the Ring - Many Meetings
4️⃣ Oasis - Half the World Away (Live, Tokyo Hotel Room)
5️⃣ Dirk Maassen - Diairies (From Home)
#musicsky #vgm #filmmusic
Lisa’s late night return to Bluesky featuring the first five songs off her Apple Music shuffle tonight for all you #MusicSky folk out there:
1️⃣ Foo Fighters - La Dee Da
2️⃣ Newton Faulkner - I Can Pretend
3️⃣ The Answer - Beautiful World
4️⃣ Avriel & The Sequoias - Fields and Pier
5️⃣ Bicurious - Mercurial
My notifs for TGCP are in my scheduled summary which I sometimes forget to clear. I then get excited thinking I can open a pack before realising it was a notif from about 4 hours ago. 🙃
To ingratiate myself back into #Musicsky, here’s a little snippet of myself performing “Grandma & Destruction” from Nier Automata alongside the fabulous @hollyhuddleston.bsky.social on piano with @ivgorchestra.com back in 2025! 🖤
I’ve been keeping my eyes on the game scene here! Meant to go to the NI Game Devs Christmas event but the date clashed with another event. 😓
Not sure 2026 goals are going to look much different tbh. 🤷♀️
Nice! As a basic Japanese student and an Irish individual having studied Irish at school, this is a great crossover for me! 😁
Hey @bsky.app, your resident gremlin returns for 2026 after forgetting that some social media apps existed. Let’s get conversing.
Starting with new #music listens for 2026 so I get out of my inevitable feedback loop of the same music every day.
🎧: Mammoth - One of a Kind

January was a month of reflection, rest and rediscovery. February is a month of self-love, consistency and pushing forward. Goals for the month include getting back to 10K training, more healthy home cooked meals and reorganising my inventory. Let’s get it. 💪🏻
Violin, every time. Mainly to pull the viola out instead to confuse them.
In gamedev, we joke about how we shouldn't care so much because "we ain't curing cancer" so chill, right?
But you know what? These last few weeks reminded me that the Arts, esp accessible Art like videogames is incredibly important because games have a big place in sculpting cultural norms.
Lovely dinner with my girl Julie at Yügo in Belfast this evening. Some crispy pork dumplings and chicken katsu with the signature Yügo sour to wash it down. Definitely worth the trip for some Japanese style tapas.
Started watching #SonicPrime lately. It’s definitely not the same writing style as Sonic Boom which tickled my funny bone. I’m still enjoying it though, the story arc seems well thought out and I’m pleasantly surprised with the voice acting and the art style. Very seamless animation.
I’m already two coffees in to my day. Trust me, I also don’t enjoy being up early but I want to get paid. 😂
