I’ve been nude solo, nude with a group of other nude people, and nude with a group of clothed people. When I’m the only one nude among a group of textiles, I feel like I have a super power, like I have defeated shame while everyone else still suffers under it.

Ecstatic Dance facilitators should be enlightened enough to allow nudists to dance nude given how they claim to promote freedom of expression and say their dance floors are judgement-free spaces. But most are emphatic in not allowing it. Why? What’s so wrong with this?
I love being naked anywhere I can be, whether others are clothed or not. Wouldn’t the world be better with a little more freedom to be who we really are?

“Shark Week” as a group costume was pretty cool concept. That they wanted a picture with me was also pretty cool. Was I supposed to be their meal?
I remember seeing him in the Sally Jesse Raphael Show.
He is talked about in the book. His name was Andrew Martinez at UC Berkeley, and he died by suicide. He was the inspiration for the sociology professor’s study in The “Volunteer”.

This photo is from 2009. I was 42. Yeah, I was probably sucking everything in. But I was working out regularly, and I really like the way my lower abs have that V shape. This is what I want to get back to (and hopefully look more ripped than back then).

2009 was the best I’ve ever looked. I was 42, and I had been going to the gym at least four times a week, usually on my lunch hour.
2012 to 2025. 13 years takes a bit of a toll, but I’m working on getting leaner. Mushroom coffee, long walks, planks and push ups will, I hope, make a difference.
