Fun fact: I used to hate watercolor in college. Thought it was ugly lol But a few years later I started to see the beauty in the watercolor spots and to play with the medium. A while later I took a beginners class to learn the basics (2015)

Their structure are complex, very organic, and my brain struggles
I wonder why 80% of my comms people asks for thousands of flowers (probably because they look gorgeous in watercolor) but this definitely pushed me to learn how to draw them (and take longer to finish comms lol)

an art teacher of mine in a beginner’s painting class once said, “We all have a hundred bad paintings inside of us, so we might as well get started.” For some reason, the way he said it so calm and matter-of-fact, was incredibly comforting 🤣 it gave us all permission to stop stressing and just learn
