Oh man, episode 4 of DTF St. Louis—so good. Favorite episode from a show in a long while.
“There is a moment in your life where you see a bunch of evil shit happening, and you have a chance to stop something that is particularly egregious. And if you walk away from it, I just don’t know why you’re alive.” - @bencollins.bsky.social
Really, you need to listen to this. Everybody should.
I can't wait for Trompe le Monde night, it's gonna wail
I'm thinking of starting a Pixies tribute band, playing albums 1-5 in order, new album each night then repeat. I just need one decent and one fucking awesome guitarist, a solid bassist who can also sing, and a good drummer. I'll sing but become the manager if my voice gives out, then need a singer
what I remember from employment law is that employees are little "e" and employers are big "E" and one can assume the law goes the E way
he's an activist judge for conservative causes. I won't call him a hypocrite republican because that would be redundant, so just republican, then.
c'mon Bluesky, I scrolled down and it's all verified baseball and worthy! And if smelly, then the certified kind for real
sometimes I mumble, but not when I'm wrong/mistaken, for then I'm very clear and very loud
Pinned post time! :D I am a scientist and author based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada -- I write about gods, monsters, magic, science, and people running in circles screaming "WHAT IS THAT WHAT IS IT DON'T LET IT TOUCH ME"

I'm really good at ordering at Culver's. Too good. One time this other customer in front of me didn't know to step up to the next open cashier and the cashier had to beckon him over. The cashier and I shared raised "c'mon dude, really!?" eyebrows. I'm too good. I'm not proud of this.
Melt all the cybertrucks down & do something useful with the metal. I don’t care! Get them off the road so nobody has to see them!
flipping through a proof of yet another book from a somewhat well known liberal voice diagnosing “where the left went wrong” and i’m struck, again, by the fact that a large part (if not most) of the liberal commentariat simply does not believe that the political right has agency.
I know historians aren’t supposed to predict the future, but sometimes the patterns are really clear.
“Reverse emails,” Jared Kushner corruption edition
He also holds no Senate-confirmed Cabinet or senior government position & employing family as White House advisers violates every norm ever, but this, too, has been erased from the headlines. After years of HUNTER BIDEN, it’s shameful.
Got this at @labornotes.bsky.social conference to remind myself of this
I’ve been trying to figure out what that said this whole game, haha
Screenshotted excerpt from linked article reading as follows: "In public, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. has cultivated a reputation for care and caution. The papers reveal a different side of him. At a critical moment for the country and the court, the papers show, he acted as a bulldozer in pushing to stop Mr. Obama’s plan to address the global climate crisis. When colleagues warned the chief justice that he was proposing an unprecedented move, he was dismissive. “I recognize that the posture of this stay request is not typical,” he wrote. But he argued that the Obama plan, which aimed to regulate coal-fired plants, was “the most expensive regulation ever imposed on the power sector,” and too big, costly and consequential for the court not to act immediately."

New York Times got receipts on John Roberts being like, 'I know this isn't how anything works, but a Democratic president is about to implement a policy!!'

the sun is shining, the grass is turning green, and it's a great day to support an indie author by grabbing a cozy sci-fi book about fashion and friendship!
A blue whale’s poo can weigh as much as 4 tonnes, making it the second-largest piece of shit in the world — just behind Donald Trump. 🤷🏻♂️
I'm a millennial and I think doomed to always putting events into the pre and post 9/11 timeframes. I usually get caught in a state of contemplation when I come across an event from summer 2001
the president of the united states is personally looting the treasury to the tune of literally billions of dollars and that he is not being immediately removed from office and tried for high crimes against this country is a devastating indictment of every part of our political system
