The two also intend to return "home" for the day. The far-shot panel has the first instance of me having trouble telling speech bubble order. Which is rly impressive btw, so many comics by younger artists bungle the bubbles a lot more often than this.

The next couple of pages, Iratu keeps trying to give Buwaro more "training", but Death says 'bro ur too drunk' and sends him home. Death also forbids him from giving Buwaro a drink. Which, it's either dangerous for him, or hilariously, even hell has drinking age laws. #SlightlyDamned

Some good drawings here, the roaring Iratu face is well done. In the distance, the sister is tending to a bonsai. I guess they just like hanging out here. Maybe because it's nice and quiet.

So there are different kinds of demons, and he's an "earth demon". Does he have powers like Rheas? Sibling demons can be different kinds it seems, since Buwaro is fire.

Rhea shows her good side and sincerely apologizes to Buwaro for biting him on the last page, that's cute! And then the fabled brother shows up! He looks gigantic, and drunk. Seems Sakido has seen him again. Death gave them a letter for her, so we know what she was waiting for.

Death asks her privately why she's ashamed, and it seems she was murdered in some way, oh no! We get a bit more story details here too. You're reading along I don't have to explain everything ok!

They admire Seymore's determination despite his failings, and then Death is back. Buwaro rudely just asks Death how Rhea died, though he gives a mysterious and not very straightforward answer.

He asks Rhea if she died from illness due to not having any visible damage, and she clearly lies to say yes. The horrible little man says he was trying to escape the slightly-damned ring to heaven by first crossing the river, but it does not seem to be going well.

ALSO, I'm stupid. It's been 3 months so I entirely forgot that Rhea is currently in "the ring of the slightly damned". So, of COURSE there's like.. nobody there. She's a rare case! I forgot and thought they were just in regular hell for a bit.. OOPS.

We cut to a cute sequence where Buwaro is guessing how Rhea died! (all wrong). I like the use of no border on the watery panel. There's also a sneaky bit of worldbuilding here, with a human in the imagination

Poor Buwaro, he even sleeps on the rocks... Someone get this boy a house!!!! Also ooh a feather... I think I know what that might be foreshadowing, from other pages I'd seen around. Guess we won't learn how Rhea dies yet. The gag with the cave light just shutting off is good lmao #SlightlyDamned

So it's just all rocks... still no one really around. The choice makes the scenery pretty boring to look at, but I will also chalk it up to "young artist" (at the time). Cute character moments, tho! I like how so far this comic has not been afraid to use time for these interactions. #SlightlyDamned

Rhea calls him "kid"! So he may actually be pretty young. Rhea also is terrified by the prospect of meeting another one of Buwaro's scary family.

Sakido is interrupted by a pillar of light in the distance. She then leaves. This may be just a young artist thing, but it's interesting how we haven't seen any other denizens of hell just like... wandering about? Where are all the damned?? There's surely many. Perhaps elsewhere...

Making a note of how the sister was expecting Death to have maybe broughtsomething other than just Rhea. She warns them that someone named "Iratu" was going to be coming by.
There is something nostalgic about that style of fuzzy highlights that go outside of the lineart... #SlightlyDamned

I love this first drawing, the art feels like even just by page 14 it's already getting crisper. Also more Buwaro being cutesy, even with all their attacking each-other, Buwaro already considers Rhea a friend! Perhaps a demon thing

Ok I laughed at how cutely he was like "^_^ it's my job" after stepping on Rhea's tail. He's very proud of himself. Anyway Rhea doesn't put up with that and fights back
