January 2001, 13 year old me went to his first ever gig to see The Offspring, almost 25 years later seeing them for a second time. Appreciated it a lot more this time round, fantastic show

"that Alcaraz is good, wonder how he'll compare to the greats... I know I'll just ignore some early data and straight line forecast the most recent 2 years despite no other person demonstrating that trajectory... Job done"

Back to work tomorrow after 18 days off. We were developing the world's greatest income, activity and performance comparator. Like a true leader, I tasked the only analyst in the team to build it while I was away. Can't wait to see how it looks, hope he captured the PES inspired benchmarking well

I restarted my analysis notes on the 10 Year Plan as my first run was just bland. Like every other commentary out there it struggled with the Plan really not being a "plan".

It isn't a delivery plan, and it doesn't allow people to jump right to their empire's impacts. And that's actually good.

The NHS is often hostile to outside ideas for improving the way it works. But it could and should learn more from many other organisations, in this can Formula 1 racing: www.hsj.co.uk/daily-insigh...
