Our lab is looking for a new PhD student. We're especially interested in candidates with backgrounds in medicine or nutrition. For this project, speaking Dutch is desirable due to contact with patients. The project will be led by Dr. Ilias Attaye.

Congratulations, very nice work. As someone who did his PhD on Na/H transport, I really appreciate further developments in understanding such a fundamental mechanism in cells.
It’s rare to find someone who shapes 90% of what you understand about a subject. For me, that was Prof. Antonio Carlos Cassola. Most of what I know about electrophysiology, I owe to him. He passed away yesterday as one of the best lecturers I had the privilege to learn from. Thank you, Cassola!
New supplement of the COST Action CONNECT is out in @ndt-era.bsky.social! Highlighting the new paper by Carmine Zoccali et al. where we explore how large biobank data, such as the ADNI, UK Biobank, and others, can help elucidate how CKD and cognitive decline progression interact: bit.ly/4kKmB14
I just found this blog and I'm already a big fan.

Happy to share that our research letter has been accepted in @ndt-era.bsky.social. Here we showed that impaired renal acid excretion is strongly associated with CaOx stone presence in the Swiss Kidney Stone Cohort: bit.ly/41rKodu. Many thanks to all co-authors in Switzerland for their support.
