Mad fact... 42% of Labour Prime Ministers have had to fire Peter Mandelson.

There was one election where I even leafletted for a Labour candidate, but it's getting harder and harder to support Oxford Labour.
I've been struggling with this too. In recent local elections I've delivered leaflets for LibDem and Green candidates I like personally, and for LibDems as MPs to get rid of Tories. It would be harder to deliver for the LibDems at the moment.
You should find a place to give this a go!
Fast food places: if you have six sauces you can put on chicken, you could also offer those sauces on your vegan stuff. There is no need to have just one bland non-chicken thing.
I do not want to create an account or open a subscription I just want to buy a thing and never hear from you again why is this so hard.
Cooking at home is NOT a normal thing. Most humans DID NOT cook at individual homes until the last 100 years or so.
They were fed from group kitchens (castle, rooming house, employer kitchen), or the equivalent of food trucks, or take-out shops, or pub food.

The right to protest isn’t a gift from government. It’s a democratic principle, hard-won and easily lost. Last night the government tried to smuggle through a “cumulative disruption” power that would let police ban protests simply because other people had protested in the same area before. (1/5)
And the reason he couldn't turn three car widths of pavement into his personal driveway? A car parking space on the road would be lost.
Neil is right. Ed is wrong.
Any cut would go mostly to richer people, who drive more & bigger cars longer distances.
Instead, boost public transport and active travel which helps those on lower income, improves our national health and reduces dependence on oil.
I respect the Pope's posting in the same way I respect Iran's posting: high quality content produced by people who fundamentally want to fuck up a lot of people I love even if they happen to currently be criticising other people I hate
Cue hundreds of programmers asking how the police still don't understand bisection.
I don't know why this is so hard for some people to grasp. If we extend our use of fossil gas, rather than going all-out for grid batteries, heat pumps and induction hobs, we extend our dependence on *foreign* sources of gas, regardless of whether we also use the UK's last remaining reserves. 🧵
It may seem like nerdy detail that the increasing weight of cars is worsening potholes, but it matters.
The car makers push to sell wider and heavier cars is increasing road maintenance costs and that affects us all.
Not to mention worse crash outcomes and less space to pass (wider) parked cars.
It's trying to get you to make a horcrux. BEWARE!
Trying to work out whether, as a man, it's OK to repost this...
Apparently it was only the Angel and Greyhound from 1991. www.oxfordmail.co.uk/news/2483119... Because I came up as a student in '93 I just assumed it had always been that.
It has been renamed back to the Oranges and Lemons, one of its previous names.
So it started up in the Angel pub. Two pubs, the Angel and the Greyhound originally gave their names to Angel and Greyhound Meadow. Those disappeared, but for a long time we had a pub named the Angel and Greyhound after the meadow.
Actually no. It's more complicated than that. Queens Lane Coffee House moved to its current location from the building currently housing the Grand Cafe, according to Wikipedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen%2...
Is it not Queens Lane Coffee House? The Grand Cafe is much newer.
New two party system just arrived in Cliftonville. Wonder how many wards will become Green vs Reform battlegrounds in local elections next month. Suspect quite a few (plus plenty of other new two party contests springing up)

Really interesting video about how street lighting impacts pedestrians - it’s <3 minutes of your time but very… enlightening (sorry!)

Well this isn't creepy at all. I'm sure no children will have nightmares about this one.
