@leedsgreenparty.bsky.social
OMFG I had to go and check that this ACTUALLY happened.
Since when does the BBC ever do chyrons with a political party's branding, rather than their own? Not to mention this is during a pre-election campaign purdah.

Keir Starmer actually put this in a briefing to Labour MPs of 'useful questions to ask' today. The PM knew of Mandelson's relationship Epstein when he appointed him.
And yet thinks he can still exploit the grief of the victims. This is why he is not fit to be Prime Minister.
"Between 2018 and 2023, 2,700 greyhounds died and more than 26,500 injuries to greyhounds were recorded."
And many people and communitues suffered great harm from gambling

Millionaire migrant expats love to blame

never the £billions in tax avoidance & evasion
by millionaires like themselves
Please repost if you agree that the BBC has been undermining democracy and enabling foreign interference in our politics by promoting and protecting Farage.
Letter on UK Parliament headed paper dated 16 April 2026, addressed to Energy Secretary Ed Miliband. Green MPs urge him to maintain the ban on new North Sea oil and gas licences and not approve projects like Rosebank, Jackdaw or Cambo. The letter argues new fossil fuel extraction will not lower bills or improve energy security, and says claims about protecting jobs are inaccurate. It highlights that 93% of recoverable oil and gas has already been extracted and that remaining resources would be sold internationally. The MPs warn expanding fossil fuels harms workers, billpayers and future generations, and call instead for investment in renewable energy, warmer homes, future-proof jobs, and making polluters pay. Signed by Carla Denyer, Ellie Chowns, Siân Berry, Hannah Spencer and Adrian Ramsay.
Our MPs have written to Ed Miliband urging him not to backtrack on the ban on new oil and gas.
More drilling won’t lower bills or secure our energy future. It’s time to invest in renewables, future-proof jobs, and make polluters pay.

Nigel Farage wants to rip the NHS apart
replaced by a US-style insurance system
Wes Streeting wants to dismantle the NHS
letting it rot, ripe for private healthcare takeover
Either way, millionaires will get healed,
the well-off go bankrupt, the poor die
Only Green Party promises vital NHS funding
More energy intensive UK businesses to get govt help.
£600m subsidy will be paid out of taxation, won't make a dent in energy company profits.
Everyone deserves lower energy bills. Ending profiteering is the only sustainable policy.
Nationalise energy.
Same for me
“The cost of living crisis is real. That’s why we’re focusing on things that will have an immediate effect - freezing rents and scrapping council tax to replace it with a land value tax so those with more wealth pay their fair share.”

One of the many things I love about @zackpolanski.bsky.social and the @greenparty.org.uk is they want to build a better, fairer country for everyone.
It's refreshing when Labour, Tory and Reform seem completely disinterested in helping so many different communities and groups of people.
Just think how much oil and gas would cost if we didn’t subsidise them to the tune of 7% of global GDP!
(Yes. $7trillion. 7% og global GDP.)

The increase in humanitarian aid to Sudan announced today is absolutely welcome, but we must go further- use every lever to prevent further atrocities, stop illicit trade which fuels the conflict, and hold those responsible for war crimes to account.
Sir Ed Davey MP: "President Trump has threatened to rip up his trade deal with the UK as punishment for us not joining his idiotic war in Iran—
Surely the Prime Minister can't send our King to meet a man who treats our country like a mafia boss running a protection racket"
Spinach, chard, peas, parsley and coriander.
If you think our NHS is safe the hands of Labour's Streeting
"Private firms providing services to the NHS England including healthcare & consultancy have made £1.6bn in profits over the last 2 years.
The £1.6bn in profits ... would have been enough to pay for 9,178 doctors or 19,428 nurses ..."
"You can't trust Wes Streeting with our NHS."

Hold a referendum to bring the water industry into public ownership
Water is a basic human necessity; we believe our privatised system has failed, so the public should decide who owns and controls it

Zany Zack Polanskis green party are selling a future that nobody sane would choose
That future: Lower bills. Tax billionaires. End Rip off Britain.
Who's in?
We call ourselves "intelligent," yet the humblest fungus can decompose waste and build soil, a tree can harness solar energy, and a wetland can purify water—all without toxic byproducts. True intelligence is learning from these systems, not bulldozing them.

Good News: The International Court of Justice has declared it has jurisdiction to put Israel on trial. Official legal ruling issued. Court asserts authority to proceed.
Also: Italian Prime Minister Meloni announces suspension of military cooperation and defense agreements with Israel.
Keep trying 😊
The weekend, in particular, has a lot of activity on the website and it might not be able to keep up with the volume. When I tried to join a few months ago it took a couple of goes but I got there in the end.
This is a major scandal for Richard Tice, Nigel Farage and Reform UK.
Reform aren’t on the side of working people: they’re just out for themselves.
You'd think this whole bizarre affair would be a far bigger story
