Greedfall is hard evidence that good art direction knocks good graphics out of the park. This game's graphics aren't incredible super close up, but because it's all lit well and so stylised, it manages to be one of the most beautiful games ever.

CORRECTION: I was foolish and wrong, Vasco from Greedfall wasn't the first gay romance I did in an RPG - Alkibiades from Assassin's Creed Odyssey was. In my defence, Vasco's story is far more special, and calling AC Odyssey an RPG is pushing it (imho)

My hottest “I have no data to back this up” take is that phones aren’t making young people less happy. What’s making them less happy is living in a world where everyone is having their reality defined by recommendation algorithms that can only care about whether something keeps you watching.
