i think i'm planning to post my art on patreon (for free) so i only have to post in one place, and i'm hoping to reintroduce passive income streams (etsy, patreon, print-on-demand)

i'm choosing patreon bc then i can tag things (e.g. cute art, pinups) and u can filter like what u wanna see better

i think i'm still gonna keep social media at arm's length, so you probs won't see me too often. i picked up some really good habits (running, going for walks most days, journalling, using sketchbooks instead of my ipad) that i'd rather prioritise.

however i'm hoping to reintroduce art into the mix

🏳️ between feb and april we've had 3 deaths close to us

🏳️ things have been really rocky in life in general

🏳️ i quit art for a bit, and quit commissions entirely

This started out as a plein air painting from the view of my studio window, but the morning light changed to dull gray and snow. The rest was finished from memory, and I purposefully separated some of the marks to make it more mosaic-like.

have i done any drawing today? that's for me and my 5 year journal to know

not to jinx it but I'm 2 for 2 on not pressuring myself to be a content machine, writing my thoughts down in a small book every night, and leaving my phone alone (my phone auto-suggested a crying emoji like it misses me HAH you had your chance)

Last year I had the awesome honor of designing these looks for the Mighty Nein attending Fjord and Jester’s wedding! It was such a blast getting to draw these characters that I’ve loved for years now — and getting to play with so many shades of pink!! 🌸💕

anyway i guess happy new year to everyone, and here i am as a reminder that even though it looks like everyone else is sharing bright, hopeful, productive things this new years eve, not everyone has it together either. it's okay to "just" be going into 2026 alive.

man I've been so sick the past few days and it is not going away 🫩 so much for a break before going back to work

i haven't been able to catch up on anything i needed to do, so I'm going to be carrying everything into 2026 instead getting my shit together

get back into weight training

i also think i should always have a notebook handy to capture ideas and inspiration bc I'm so bad at figuring out what i want to draw

i never really do new years resolutions but i think in 2026, art-wise I'm going to:

quit offering commissions
work on developing traditional/analogue painting skills

hoping this will help me find inspiration easier and like... find art fun again!
