It's deceptive that BlueSky looks similar to X — but so much under the hood and in the philosophy/psychology.

Certainly a very differetn energy over here.

Most people get Systems Thinking wrong.

But it's the key to understanding how the world works — and how to make real change.

Everything is interconnected. Nothing is in a vacuum.

Anticipate the cause-and-effect loops acting upon your desired path and outcome.

For videos I found it frustrating — no covers/titles for YT shorts and low file limit on one platform (smaller limit than on the platform). For X it limits to 60sec even though X allows longer.

But for text posts Metricool seems great!

Took a long time to create the work conditions I love. Stages of the journey really sucked.

Notion ushered in the era of personalized software development — accessible to everyone.

And took personal system building to an entirely new level.

Notion is truly pioneering. Others in the space are largely just imitating and playing catch up.

It’s been my assumption that what we have now is an initial step on the way to that inevitable end point.

Properties in any block on the page are the only logical
end point IMHO.

Most people do not deliberately, intentionally cultivate the mind they want.

The people who do, excel in all aspects of life.

Everything you experience is filtered through the perception of your mind.

Create the best possible lens for your engagement with the world — and time alone with yourself.

Cravings are a sign of withdrawal — they're short-lived but very intense for that initial period.

Once absent from the toxic element for a while, you no longer crave it. Then you're free.

True for addictive substances, sugar, mindless social media feeds, co-dependent relationships, and bad habits

Feed your mind the right thoughts just as you feed your body the right foods.

Eating healthy does not immediately change your body.

But gradually over time, it transforms you. Same with your mind.

Seems hard and elusive at the outset.

But over time as you do it, it becomes simple and easy.

It’s not a fight or a battle. It’s a flow and channeling.

Forgive any setbacks, focus on doing it right next time.

Your mind gets in the way of so many things you want to achieve.

But you can't fight your mind, it’s your mind. You can’t go over it or around it. It’s always right in front of you.

Instead, you have to channel it and guide it or cultivate a flow in the direction you want.

Bluesky is the big reset. Once a year, everyone should reset to a clean slate of followers.

I like this idea of having multiple social media platforms for different types of interest and engagement groups.

BlueSky is becoming a welcome space for social interactions, whereas X is high-intensity engagement — or business and high-impact exchanges.

Still not sure about Threads. 🤔

Super impressed with Apple’s new Mac Mini M4 Pro.

I’ve been waiting for the new Mac Studio. But this new little powerhouse provides everything I wanted. And it’s available now.

It screams through heavy lifts and is amazingly quiet — a significant factor for me with recording and livestreams.

We all seem to feel similarly, hope that approach continues as it grows.
