Well it looks like I’m gonna be a “Him” (2025) apologist. I finally checked it out today. And I loved it. Not sure what movie everyone else saw.
More hypermasculine horror please. It’s a unique niche that is very topical.
Good times! Sorry, not sorry. 🤷♂️
Taking a look at Cynthia & Jordan of “It Feeds” (2025) a great film from @chadarchibald.bsky.social and what they have to teach us about the line between healing and hurting.
If you have a stomach for puns and dad jokes, give this interview a listen! Cullen is an amazing analyst of horror and should be on your radar.
Had a blast @cullenwade.bsky.social
Thank you so much for sharing your work with us! 🏊
Can’t wait to get our gay little horror-loving hands on this! 🖤🖤🖤
Honored to learn that the Zombie from our film, THERE'S A ZOMBIE OUTSIDE, made @macabredaily.bsky.social and @scaredsane.bsky.social's list of "Favorite Queer Horror Characters from 2025!" Give it a read and check out the rest of the fabulous list! www.macabredaily.com/articles/ske...
I love The Stud…But I’m not sure if I can ever forgive what he did to poor

Not a bad spot to get some writing in… 🛥️ ✍️ 🛥️
I’ve seen 4/8 of these picks from Matty. How many have you seen?
Let’s keep our horror on theme with vacation this week.

Now watching in its homeland of Martha’s Vineyard.
This is my fighting style.
That is true. It happens. Just wish it happened more. There are sooooo many short films being shown at every film festival that then get lost in the ether.
Haha. Agreed. I’m skeptical of the whites. But I’ll try anything twice. 🤷♂️
5 more days until my Martha’s Vineyard (aka Amityville Island) vacation. Can’t wait to bust these open on the island.
So excited to watch Jaws on location for its 50th anniversary. 🦈 🖤🦈
Naive question about film distribution. Why aren’t more studios collecting some of the amazing short films out there and releasing them as features or physical media in anthology format? Seems like it would be so easy (and relatively cheap?) to do. Maybe just not considered profitable enough? 🤷♂️
Oh wow. This is super upsetting to read. I’m so sorry you had to have that exhausting conversation.
Really appreciate you sharing this. I’m running around between appointments right now but promise I’ll find some time to properly absorb it all later.
wish I could say I was surprised these days…
@xghorror.bsky.social and @sharai.bsky.social have you seen “Binary” yet? It’s really good and (I think) a really nuanced and respectful look at characters who are sex workers. One of my favorites of the year.
Happily doing some homework in advance of my interview with @troyescamilla.bsky.social tomorrow!

New review for “Stomach It” a new short film by Peter Klausner.
A tense and gory peek behind the curtain of the poor souls tasked with cleaning up the mess left behind everyday traumas.
Check it out @macabredaily.bsky.social
Pro-Hoe Horror! I’m loving this convo!
Horror heals and horror empowers! 🖤🖤🖤
You are a true hero and a scholar.
Did you get your tickets for Houston Horror Film Festival yet?
Looks like an amazing event put on by @troyescamilla.bsky.social
I absolutely loved this conversation with filmmaker @joefria.bsky.social about his upcoming feature film "Shadows of Willow Cabin".
This is what queer horror is all about folks! Be sure to keep an eye out for it in the future! Check out the interview on @macabredaily.bsky.social
Pride Month may be over but that doesn’t mean we can’t keep learning. Put together a 101 guide for @macabredaily.bsky.social on some of the basic elements that go into making a queer horror icon!
It’s a really fun one! Have you read the book?
A favorite comfort watch.
