Why every single network in America isn’t interviewing Lisa Wedeen *hourly* to understand this presidency is truly beyond me…

You know your student who just plagiarized one or two pages of their term paper?

How do you feel about the rest of it?

Because, THIS.

There is *much* to say about this, but point no.3 is the one that is most interesting to me.

The fact that Silicon Valley is waking up to the need for broad-based growth (not just aggregate growth) is…a real shift.

I may have said to my kindergartner “Sir. You are far too young to be so fed up with me.”

So…solidarity.

Parenting keeps you so humble.

Had a great week at work, multiple professional successes. People listening to/reading what I have to say.

Come home, get kid-splained about how “ugh, moooooom. You don’t understaaaaaand.”

I am smart. I am profoundly thick.

I contain multitudes.

Our father, Howard, in Heaven

That's a good joke, William. We all know that teachers don't actually have lives outside of school.

(Once we saw a teacher in the grocery store, and my kids about lost their minds. Teachers? Go grocery shopping?????)

To be clear, this is *me* calling the teachers by their title and surname.

No way on God's Green Earth am I letting a tiny human who doesn't even have grown up teeth refer to adults by their first names.

I still call my parents' friends/friends' parents Mr/Mrs LastName.

Oh, I was meaning for me. No way on God's Green Earth that my children are calling grown adults by their first name before they've got an income stream of their own.

I still call my parent's friends and friend's parents Mr/Mrs LastName.

I’m not sure if it is because of my conservative upbringing, or my imposter syndrome, or what…

…but calling my children’s teachers by their first name feels very transgressive.

Julia? Oh. NoNoNoNoNo. Ms. Peterson, we will not be doing that. ThankYouVeryMuch.

After the lifting of restrictions, interesting things happened!

Democracies show signs of not just recovery, but consolidation. Electoral turnover and surges in participation!

Autocracies? They consolidated too.

I'm calling it a K-shaped recovery, borrowing from our Econ friends.

These processes were cited as a red flag for democratic backsliding...

But wait! There's MORE!
