Fingers crossed! It would be great to see more linguistic knowledge in general but I don't think it will be implemented fully until more teachers are confident with it.
There are schools out there doing great stuff at secondary but my impression is it’s not the norm. I’m worried the the well is already poisoned and the removal of the grammar element of SATs will mean an even more reduced role in future
What the National Curriculum Review needs to get right about grammar to avoid the repeating the shortcomings of the previous reforms.

My guess would be that these (gin, ginger, ginseng, jinx, Jenga) aren't cognates?
