Alt:Games in Parramatta today with Adam. I do have some stickers and Steam Keys on me, so come up and grab one if you spot us.
Wouldn't miss it ๐
Guy and girl smiling at the camera with the golden afternoon light on their faces. The unusual rock formations of an old quarry by the ocean are in the background
Went to one of my favourite places with my gf for the first time and shot some Tri-X on the Super 8 camera my friend got me for my birthday. Excited to see how it turns out in a few weeks time when it gets processed.
Fiery clouds from a beautiful sunset appearing over the skyline of silhouetted buildings
The sunset as I finished my shift today went crazy.
Hades II is the first game in a while to make me want to take the day off work to play. Unfortunately I am sitting in this store until 6 and just thinking about the next run.

35mm film photo of a woman smiling as she takes a sip from her drink.
Film photo of The Servo at night
Went to The Servo at the end of March to check out a local art exhibition. Shot a little CineStill 800T while I was there.
Thought about doing a new one of these when I saw people posting them last week, but you know what... I still stand by this.
I will never uninstall POINPY from my phone
If your game has bottomless pits as platforming hazards and they just teleport you back to safe ground with a minor health penalty, you should not be using a pit as the hazard. Just commit fully to instant death or use some other environmental hazard that is less punishing.
Merry go round horses on 35mm film
A woman in a cap holding a hedgehog with a bowtie was she smiles for the photo. Blurry slow shutter 35mm film photo.
Camden Show on Aero 100. The storm that hit just as we arrived really made a fool out of this roll, cause the shutter was way too slow for action shots I thought I was taking.
Still won a tiny hedgehog with a bowtie, so it aint all bad.
Hard to be anxious about anything if you just view yourself as a Loony Tunes character or Crash Bandicoot
Life doesn't feel so bad when I imagine the stream of unfortunate things that happen to me as simply stepping on a rake in a comedic fashion. It stings, I feel stupid for doing it again... But I'm sure someone watching got a laugh out of it.
The worst part of April 1st this year is that every local council, government branch, and emergency service have decided to post a shitty GenAI image as their joke.
Whoever convinced government services that they needed to post memes on social media to stay relevant has a lot to answer for.
I also like the nods to Starship Troopers like the pulse guns and the bug zapper barriers. Even though no sequel really lives up to how perfect the Verhoeven directed film is... I do appreciate the second movie way more than Marauder.
With that said, once the FMV sections pass and the mission begins... I find the gunplay and style to be extremely my vibe. Though I really do wish the troopers weren't sprites, cause the lowpoly bugs and environments are so good.
Outside of the Verhoeven directed film, I just don't think the propaganda bits and satire work well at all. This is a criticism I also have for Hell Divers fwiw...
In that regard, I actually think Starship Troopers 2 had a better feel than Marauder, despite it being the more favourable sequel.
Finally getting round to Starship Troopers Bug War and really enjoying the missions + style of the game with a couple of exceptions.
Unfortunately the framing of the game and FMV sections are actively harming the experience for me.
I've always dreamed of having a biomechanical gun in the game and now we are one step closer to that.
The worst part about being a CM Punk hater is knowing that he'll beat Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania and it will be the most embarrassing display of the year.

Shots from the @noblesteedau.bsky.social WIP Night last Friday. Realy enjoyed attending our first one and checking out the great talks + games on show.

One of the great joys of working on Samurai Unicorn is building out the world of Sydney3 and setting up these little scenes with the beautiful characters Adam and the rest of the artists have made.
Illustration of Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil 4, walking down a hallway full of zombies, looking at the camera. Teal and Red tones.

Happy to report I knew about it because of Shinkawa's art and Metal Gear Acid. My copy of MGS2 was actually a pre-owned Substance disc and I found out about the demo disc once I started looking for it in pre-owned bins at EB Games.
Though I will admit, I didn't stumble upon ZOE... I hunted down a pre-owned copy because I was obsessed with Metal Gear Solid and needed to find more games touched by the creatives behind the series I loved.
The best part about being a kid in this era was stumbling on a game no one in your friend circle knew about and feeling like you had discovered some ethereal object because of start screens like this.
Seeing really skilled artists I love doing stuff like this... It just feels really good.
The fight against Corpse Processor in the demo has three distinct phases showing off all his tricks. Don't be fooled by his weakened stance in the last phase, that is when his most dangerous abilities come out.
35mm film photo of what I believe is a Yellow Azalea back lit by the afternoon sun.
35mm photo of a woman with dark reddish hair sitting in front of a hedge wall with pink flowers behind her.
Finally shot that roll of expired Kodak Super Gold that I had lying around and happy to report that giving shooting around 100 iso worked well enough to get some nice shots on a sunny afternoon at the Rhododendron Gardens.
It's so good having JoJo's Bizarre Adventure back airing one episode a time. I really enjoy treating it as Saturday morning TV time with my coffee to start the weekend.
