Set those alarms - we are back!
The contractors have finished for the week and laid new tarmac over their excavations. Their encampment is still by the start/finish area so our scanners may need to be moved.
Listen for any changes at the pre-event briefing.

No doubt our neighbours will make any Ally Pally waifs & strays welcome, either taking part or as a volunteer.

🪏 Cancellation reminder 28th February ⛏️

As announced we are cancelled this week as Thames Water’s contractors are now on site.
We’ll now be taking each week as it comes but the good news is that the contractors have been in touch and are keen to keep us going as long as it is safe to do so.

There has been some work going on on the hill. Please stay to the right hand side of the path. Faster runners should slow down when overtaking, and make way for other park users.

Otherwise it’s the usual puddles & muddy bits, but do listen at the briefing for updates.

Thames Water will be working in the park over the next few months. This means that there will be some cancellations.

As it turned out our decision to cancel today’s AP parkrun was the right call. This was the scene just after 8.00 this morning.

⛔️ CANCELLED 14th February ⛔️
A new & unexpected Thames Water excavation has appeared by the sports club entrance. After much discussion we’ve decided that the safest option is to cancel.
We’re also on the edge of a Met Office weather warning for ice!

There are too many icy patches for us to safely go ahead today 10 January. Huge thanks go to the team for getting there early.

As these photos sent in by our intrepid on course reporter show Storm Claudia has made everything a bit wet. The top path is getting muddy with lots of leaves so take care & listen out for any warnings at the briefing.

After our break we return on Saturday, 26th. The volunteer appeal has gone out & our roster is waiting.
